Iafallo being sent home to Buffalo for Taylor Hall at the deadline would be interesting...

Obviously I prefer Hall, but I don't see Hall re-signing, and even if he does it will be double the cap hit of what Iafallo costs. not sure the timing is right to do that.

I think Hall will sign for much less than people expect, I think at max he gets $7 per. Other than him stealing Kopi's MVP award, he's been good but not great and teams are still against the cap so he might sign for less to gain a little security.

Weird how he’s bounced around to so many teams. He’s been a 80-90 point player more than once and can’t stick anywhere.

Reactions: Rumpelstiltskin

I'm guessing they're going to be ramping up hockey coverage in anticipation of winning part of the new TV/streaming deal as has been reported. As for the last comment, they haven't had any meaningful broadcasting rights/media partnerships in years. Why would they cover hockey more if they're making plenty of money off of larger NA sports?

This quote from Blake really puts things in perspective with regards to prospects development. It doesn't seem that long, but damn, those three have been around for a while now.
"Anderson-Dolan, Vilardi, Anderson, they're all 2017 draft picks," Blake said. "That's four years ago. That's what it really takes before you can really establish yourself in the NHL. For us, that's the blueprint.

Other than Vilardi, who lost basically a season and a half of games these are all picks outside the first round. And JAD played NHL games as a teenager.

I think a four year plan is fair enough for lesser prospects but for 1st round picks, especially top 10 picks, the development should be more aggressive.

He's 1 of those guys that is a great player on a bad team. I don't see him ever being a go to go on a cup contender. Maybe with the right mix of vets and youth he can thrive.

I would like/semi-love to see him on Gabe's wing tho.. I think it would open up Gabe's offensive game and make him even more dynamic

Andrew Ference sure ripped the Oilers players for their dedication once he left. Most think it was pointed at Hall. Now guys can change and grow up, but definitely concerning.

depends on position for me. Top 10 pick that is a forward I would say 2-3 years, D 3-4, and Goalie who the hell knows.

A top 2 would (Byfeild) I would hope for 1 or 2 years.

This should ease the Eichel rumors for now, at least until the offseason. I don't think Eichel will be moved at any point during the season.

Seems like a draft day deal. Would love it if Seattle somehow ended up with him. Would be the greatest addition by an expansion team
