I'd say it is more with the way the team is playing. I sit in 306 and tickets there are $41 a piece before fees which seems pretty standard for buying directly from the team...think the most recently bought season seat in my group is $37.50 per game with the STH'er discount. Of course, I've been selling those for as low as $8 on StubHub depending on the opponent the last couple of years so that's where your price comment holds up.

I'm 99% sure I won't be going. The last game of the year would be fun if they do fan appreciation night due to the higher odds of winning something but I don't want to watch this team while wearing a mask for 3 hours unless it covers my eyes.

All that said, it's a huge step in the right direction towards hopefully having our normal seating arrangements for next season.

Not going to try for the Olli Maatta or Christian Wolanin jersey off their back?

I think, as a message board, we should circle back to Sergachev. Tampa's cap situation is totally f***ed.

Bjornfot + 1st rounder + ????

What do we have to add here? If our 1st rounder is top 5 or 10, I'm sure that would help too...

Some would say that's right up my alley since I've bought jerseys and paid for customization for Zmolek, Baumgartner and two MacDermid ones but at least these guys aren't p***yes on top of it.

That's always a fun one though: seeing someone so excited to win the jersey-off-the-back until they realize they are getting a non-game worn Andy Andreoff jersey since he was a healthy scratch that day.

I'd say there's little chance they move their best young defenseman. They will find a way to cut salary elsewhere, probably McDonagh.

Happened to a friend, was lucky enough to win a Jan Nemecek jersey back in 99. Most likely the only 1 in existence.

There's probably ways for them to trim the fat before moving Sergachev. Right now they'd have to choose between protecting Erik Cernak or Cal Foote with their final protection spot. I can't help but wonder if they already have a handshake agreement after the season with Yzerman in Detroit. Something like Foote + Tyler Johnson for a draft pick and large pizza.

Or maybe just do that with Seattle (a la Anaheim/Vegas with Theodore/Stoner). Seattle maybe has mild interest with Johnson being a Washington state native that they could use for PR like Vegas did with Deryk Engelland (Vegas resident).

A solid 25 year old addition to the roster will likely cost a top young prospect+.

The question is are they ready for that trade without knowing what they have yet. In June 2011, they had made the playoffs a couple times, and after Kopitar went down, it was clear they needed someone better than Stoll or Handzus as the #2, thus all in on Richards when he actually became available.
I think you are right in terms of not making moves before we know what we have. Whilst the draft might make things interesting, we do know we need a LHD. Whilst they won’t know who is definitely on the list of guys we must keep, some guys may have made their way onto the ‘available’ list, ideally without anyone knowing about it. It could be a character issue, a technical issue or simply not the player they thought they were drafting.

They will now have learned plenty about our prospects, so it’s not crazy to think they’ve made decisions on one or two. So, even if it’s still early, I’m ok with moving a piece as long as they don’t trade away a future Conn S. winner.

Guess who just won the lottery

I feel like Kupari will get a better look. I'd also like to see Bjornfot sent down once he gets healthy. I don't know why they didn't let him work on his offensive game in Ontario.

when did the Kings initially target Gaborik as a UFA? 2009?

Yes, they didn't want to pay Gaborik $7.5 so they instead went with Smyth who's cap hit wasn't much lower but it saved AEG actual money.

Unfortunately it failed miserably because Smyth wasn't able to play beyond about the calendar turning in either of his seasons with the Kings.

Also worth noting the Kings made a significant offer to Marian Hossa.

I also recall Dean Lombardi mentioning on draft day 2008 that he did receive a legit offer for the #2 pick, but he stuck with the course in rebuilding. We never learned what that offer was.

Do I dare say that it’s rac.....

I’m more pissed about the proof of vaccine. Go f*** your self, there’s my proof.
i mean blank cards have been floating around the internet for months if you're so inclined but it does say either proof of vaccination OR a negative test. i don't care for the restrictions beyond the mask requirement either but it's their property, it's their right to open how they please..

That is definitely an issue.

I'd really like Foligno as a culture signing but I have no idea what that contract would look like. Blake would have to overpay to get him to go to a rebuilding team.

I'd obviously take Landeskog too for similar reasons.
Overpaying some for a "culture signing" would be fine with me. This team badly needs a player like Foligno.

I know. I’m just in no rush to be part of an experiment. I guess if I really wanted to go a Covid test would suffice.

He was about as good as his career average in 2 seasons here. 7pts in 12 playoff games. Failed miserably is too strong.

Overpaying, ok. Overterming, no. Foligno will be 34 in Oct.
