Obviously eichel is a star that would be a huge add for any team, but the contract is a bit bigger than I see the kings going for at this point and while the asking price could certainly be worth it I'd be skeptical due to his injury history

It just depends on who can fit him under the flat cap while giving up enough assets. If it takes Turcotte and a couple 1sts, i'm all for it. I'd do Turcotte, Walker, two 1sts, and continue to add for Eichel + RR. For Reinhart i'd trade a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in different years.

I don't think he would be, they have no leverage and the Kings have no "need" for them to take a bad contract.

I don't know that they do have a plethora, an injury or two completely decimates the defensive core. The Avs have 4 very solid guys in Makar, Toews, Girard, and Byrum (when healthy) and then the talent falls off a cliff. Johnson is hurt so often he can't even be mentioned at this point.

Toews is signed to a great contract and is going nowhere though, that's for sure.

If there is a deal for Eichel and it includes Turcotte, it will be a terrible, terrible mistake.

That eliminates all enticements for salary offset. This would be a trade after both drafts. If LAK did due diligence with Eichels injury(s), is this too much to ask. 5 years of Eichel.

Edit to add, what add to Turcotte would you consider fair? On our (sabres fans) end, I think there would be disappointment from that return. On my end, I could probably accept taking out Kupari since the 1st will be in the 7-9 range.

I would seriously consider that offer, IF Eichel were healthy. All moot until he gets well.

I am ok with LA getting Eichel depending on cost. I know that is a no brainer statement, but really I want LA to keep Byfeild.

One of Turcotte/Vilardi/Kupari plus one of Kaliyev/Madden/Fegemo/Spence plus a first is max I would go, and depending on players picked would immediately bitch about it, but then like it a year from now.

I wonder if a deal with Eichel and Skinner would bring what we have to give in return down, its a whole lot of money and term, but it makes a rebuild for Buffalo easier losing Skinners contract. This is just spitballing, because I know what a terrible year Skinner has had.
