The funny one to me is byfield, I really just dont get the byfield hate(i get he hasnt really been as productive as youd like for team canada, but he hasnt looked bad on the ice)
To me out of every prospect in the league... Byfield has the highest ceiling. He is still young/raw but man the amount of potential he has and what he can become when he gets used to using his body better is scary. i went back and fourth between stutzle and Byfield all draft long... and i always went back on not being able to pass up Byfields potential.

6'4 220, prob still growing as a young 18 year old.... Athletic skilled and fast... hes going to be a lot to handle. To me your looking at potentially the next Malkin/Draisitl. I just think what is poor little drysdale supposed to do in the future when Byfield comes at him.
Have you heard of human trafficking?

We just human trafficked you and you are now a Kings fan. Raccoon Jesus already has your jersey ready

does it come in Matthew tkachuk name and number ? :D Cause that’s my favorite player

might be worse than being a ducks fan huh
Raccoon Jesus is wise but his powers aren't unlimited.

Can we interest you in a Brad Doty jersey?

If I do ever get a kings jersey, it’ll be vilardi .

I’ve been on his wagon forever, was begging for ducks go trade up for him when he started dropping down a bit. Still think he’s going to be a stud starting this year, I’m on the Calder hype train for him

I wouldn't be worried. Drysdale will simply skate around that death trap

I love Tkachuk as well. Favorite current non-Kings player. He'd be this board's favorite player if he was on the Kings.

I'm actually glad the Doughty thing is a thing since it has made Calgary games a must watch during a time when they are the only must-watch Kings games. Biggest bummer about the schedule this year is that they don't get to play against each other. Hopefully they get a playoff series against each other at some point.

I miss the days of the flames not being able to win in Anaheim.... their fan base was to the point where they wouldn’t even bother watching cause it was automatic. Now it seems Anaheim can’t win in Anaheim :/

Hey fellas have only watched the junior championship game a little bit because of work. You guys mentioned the Kings prospects had 4 goals 7 assists in the semi finals. Besides Byfield, Turcotte, and Kavilev who else is playing good. How many guys do we have left playing in the finals tonight?

4 actually playing:

USA: Turcotte, Kaliyev, Faber
Canada: Byfield

Spence is also on the Canadian roster, but he’s only appeared in 1 game and is likely the odd man out again tonight.

Wonder if the gold medal winners will be showing off their medals on the plane

Maybe theyll make part 3 of the Gold medal nhl award show parody (with ryan and getzlaf).

I assume these are players that are expected to be with the club at the start of the year? You guys think any of those guys realistically stick to the roster from a kings perspective?

while i'm definitely rooting for Team USA, i'm not sure how much of a chance they have. First & foremost, I'm hoping it's a good, close, competitive game (with USA winning!).

Surprisingly they've done very well vs. Canada in recent years. I know this is different. But at worst, it's always a meat-grinder one-goal game!

No matter what happens, I am just glad Faber has shown everyone why Yannetti made that move up. He is a rock defensively and those wheels may just let him be an underrated two way threat. Hopefully no more of our fans question that move.

Simontaival is so fun to watch. Skilled. Thinks he is 6’3. Even if he turns into a skilled third line buzzsaw it’s a win.

Bjornfot's probably the most likely given he's the only one with professional experience under his belt, but right now he's probably 8th on the depth chart/first injury call-up. Turcotte ought to have a similar role in Ontario that Vilardi had last year, may earn a call-up at some point. Kaliyev will definitely need at least another season of development to round out his game before he sniffs NHL ice, and the organization seems content to take it slow with Byfield.

Yeah I just want a competitive game but we all know how good Canada is so it might be ugly to be honest. At least we had 6 of the 9 prospects get a medal that's pretty dang awesome.
