Translation for those who don't speak french, if mandolese can't play in the ECHL he would be a perfect solution for a team looking to challenge for the cup in the qmjhl.

Thomson's team has scored 66 goals in 16 games, but Thomson only has 2 assists.
That's really really bad for a guy who was drafted to be an offensive D.
He's been a trainweck defensively in the 4 games I've watched. Bad decision after bad decision.Conversely, most fins who have watched him this year have said his defensive game has seriously matured compared to last year.

His defensive play earlier in the year led him to get healthy scratched

Definitely not the main boards, he's getting ripped to shreds by most Finn posters thereVery weird, in main boards (or was it this board) few fin posters said defensively his game matured this year.
He did as noted aboveLooks like Jarventie picked up an apple on the winning goal, looking at the game sheet.
secondary assist but they all count. 5-5 , offensive zone draw, I'd be putting Jarventie out there too.He did as noted above
That’s the only scenario. He’s just on loan before the season startsI think bringing him over to play in Belleville this season would be the best case scenario. Never going to be a major offensive threat, but I do think he's in a slump right now. Maybe playing on NA ice again will help?
He was on loan last year as well, if he’s not in the top 6 in Belleville he’ll stay there. That’s the only scenario. He’s just on loan before the season starts
Obviously he’ll be in Belleville. He’ll be their top RDHe was on loan last year as well, if he’s not in the top 6 in Belleville he’ll stay there.
He should have a spot, with only 5 soots accounted for in Belleville.
Don’t think there’s a chance he’s their top RD, especially after watching him play.Obviously he’ll be in Belleville. He’ll be their top RD
It’s about minutes and development. They will be relying on him as their top defensive prospect in Belleville. I also put no stock into his season so far. He’s in a tough spot. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t too pair in BellevilleDon’t think there’s a chance he’s their top RD, especially after watching him play.
If he’s their top RD, they’re in massive trouble.
Both Jaros and Dougherty will be seeing more time on the right side I would imagine, they both help Belleville much more for sure at least. It’s about minutes and development. I personally think it’s ridiculous to think a guy signed to an AHL contract will get a better role than one of the sens top prospects but agree to disagree. I see zero chance of that happening. Jaros is another story for sure. Both Jaros and Dougherty will be seeing more time on the right side I would imagine, they both help Belleville much more for sure at least.
Only reason he’s a top defensive prospect is because of where he was picked. He looks like a mid round dart throw over the past year of playing.
Minutes and development happens every year, and every year we see guys who we want getting minutes and development get passed by guys who have no future with the team.
It happens every year. Last year it was Aspirot, Murray, Doughtery and Labrie getting more minutes than Lajoie, Jaros and even Brannstrom at times.I personally think it’s ridiculous to think a guy signed to an AHL contract will get a better role than one of the sens top prospects but agree to disagree. Don’t think he’s in a tough spot at all, he’s just doing a terrible job this year.

He was bad from the World Juniors on, so starting December last season. The past 6 months of hockey, or 11 months in real time. The last year is a stretch. Thomson played quite well as an 18 year old in the Liiga for much of the season last year.
This year he's been significantly worse by all accounts but it hasn't been a full year of bad play. There was nothing wrong with his body of work last year. This year is definitely concerning though. Hopefully a change of scenery back to NA will get him back on track.
