Jarventie is an 18 year old playing on a line with 2 20 year olds, and he's producing just as much/more than them. He's on their 3rd line, and 2nd PP unit.

If he were getting more than 12 minutes a game, and getting a prime offensive role, I'd agree he may be getting his stats inflated by Ruotsalainen's 21 points, but as it is, none of his points have come from him. His linemates are both 20 years old, and have 14 and 4 points (other linemate had 8, none since Hayton took his spot).

Yup. Jarventie is 16th in league scoring in the Liiga. Among the top 50 scorers only one has lest TOI/game than him. And that player is 50th in scoring. Anyway you slice it, it's a very impressive start to the season.

Did we officially lose the rights to Markus Nurmi? I saw that there was some deadline to retain his rights but I also noticed that he is signed in Liiga with his contract ending in 2021-2022. Anyone have any update on that? I guess he could still technically sign with the Sens after his contract is up in Liiga if he is performing well enough.

Pretty sure we opted to not re-sign him. In NHL circles he is UFA.

I'm not saying Kleven won't meet or exceed the team's expectations, but if he shows next to no offense at the NCAA level his chances of being a decent NHLer grow slimmer.
He won’t be showing any offence this season. Sanderson and JBD will take major minutes and Kleven will likely be 3rd pair.

He's asymptomatic so no worry for him. Just have to make sure he doesn't spread it out

Not no worry. Asymptomatic people can still have long term organ damage. Hear this a lot though in the general public. Unfortunately a lot of people may end up with long-term concerns - we don't know yet for sure.

Haven't caught that yet, have to do some research on it

Even If You’re Asymptomatic, the Coronavirus Can Do Damage

Some people may eventually regret big time to not have taken this seriously, on top of people that die from it.

His NCAA career will go beyond this year though. Likely to be at three seasons or four.

I’m surprised that there’s been no comments on this. It could be tough to find spots for guys to play
It's really just the goalie that would be impacted. Anyone else going to the ECHL isn't really a legit prospect, not that it means they have no chance though
