Lundkvist’s game at a moment is a lot more mature. Not trying to start something just making an observation.
I don’t think anyone will disagree with that. I think the disagreeing comes in when deciding how much that should be weighted in predicting how they’ll be moving forward

Oh yeah, I was being Captain Obvious. And their relative levels currently is not enough of a ground to make such predictions. Two completely different situations with too many variables.

So Miller is playing like poop today? Havent been able to watch today.
He made a bad pass from the point on the PP which led to a 3-on-1 with him being the defender, and he for some reason decided to close hard on the puck carrier right at the blue line which led to an easy goal. He also had a good rush later on.

Starting the second he leveled a kid who thought he could take it outside and around him, then later made a great block on the PP. Unfortunately it stung him bad and he became a pylon and Canada scored. Not on him though, he couldn't skate.

So, IMO mixed bag. A couple glaring mistakes mixed in with some good things. You can tell Team USA relies on him, he's on the 1st PP unit, PK unit, and seems to be the top pair.

He is, for sure. That comes with having spent your career to this point as a defenseman as opposed to having played D for three years.

Miller has unmatched physical talent, which can help cover for his inexperience and relative lack of sophistication to his game. Obviously as he moves up, he'll need to refine his game and not just rely on his physical superiority.

Caufield leaving the bench.

I'm not sold on Caufield as a pro, whether he can consistently find space and whether he'll be able to create for anyone else. But, he'll be fun to watch this year on the PP with Miller.

I've been kind of disappointed with Henriksson so far. Yesterday, I was specifically watching for Jones on USA and Henriksson on Sweden. Jones was easy to see, he was all over the ice. Henriksson, he didn't seem to play a whole lot, and when he did play I barely noticed him. I watched all but the final 10 minutes of the game and literally I remember two instances of him making something happen. He has two shots in three games. I don't recall seeing him on the PP, either, which was disappointing.

Lindbom looked okay. Not much he could have done on the first and third goals. I hope he gets healthy enough to get into one of Sweden's final two games.

Was watching specifically Henriksson in two games with him I DVRed. I think your “invisibility” take is largely based on his role. He’s a depth center with no PP time and 3rd set out on PK who’s also asked to chaperone two offensive kids. There’s also some transition to a new more mature general level of competition. The thing I noticed is that the game is not too fast for him at this level - and we are not talking Norway or Slovenia.

Funny, I have exactly the same observation re. Kalyev. Sick hands but I’m not sure his skating will not hinder his chance at NHL success. More so than Caufield’s size.

It was a smart play, I was expecting him to look to the back side. He recognized however the huge screen and just tried to get one on net.

We saw it last year, as well. He understands the importance of getting the puck on the net. He doesn't have to use that big clapper all the time.

Also funny, in the first period I was thinking “man, the US has three really high level goal scorers that all have a pretty good chance of not making it”

Though Rangers’ 2018 first-round pick Nils Lundkvist suffered an injury at the World Junior Summer Showcase, the damage is not believed to be serious, Lulea HF tells Blueshirt Banter.
“(We) had received news that the MRI showed no serious injury,” Lulea PR went on to say. “(We) do not expect him on the ice next week, but the week after that.”
