WC: 2019 US Roster Discussion

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. For what its worth Wolanin said in an interview on the local radio here in Ottawa he can play RD. They never tried him there but I wish they would have as the sens have good LD depth but the right side is a disaster. From a sens point of view I selfishly hope he plays RD for USA. I think you will like him, he was one of the few players on the sens that showed elite skill this season he should be great on the big ice.

I agree with all of this. I have liked this kid the past few years, I think he is definitely ready to be a full-time NHL player, and his offensive skills/instincts are top notch. If he can play RD, it only opens more avenues for him. Wolanin, Fox and Hughes make for a young trio, but in 2-3 years time that could look like a near all-star group that was here. Wolanin will be a nice help here and will look even better on the big ice.

Why would you put your 2nd best winger (DeBrincat) to 3rd line?????

the obvious 1st line will be: DeBrincat-Larkin-Kane
they played too good hockey for team USA last time, not to be rejoined together
 
Lines should be IMO.

You can swap Eichel and Larkin but i think it is better this way.

Which Freiburg, the German one or the Swiss one? I would love to attend some games this year too, but unfortunately I have my duties in the Netherlands during the tournament.
 
Thinking team USA will put White at center,he isnt bad at draws and can PK ...His value is far better there than as the teams 4th line rw
