Constantinou and Yantsis still here. Hope they earn a contract.
Isn’t Friday the 13th... not the 12th.
Maybe they told a few players to report on Friday 9/12 and when they don’t, they’ll cut them!Isn’t Friday the 13th... not the 12th.
It would be tough as the Kings are at 49 contracts. Maybe they offer AHL deals if these guys impress.
Some exciting guys to look out for: Anderson-Dolan, Clague, Grundstrom, Rempal, Rymsha, Anderson, Lizotte, Eyssimont, Durzi, Wagner, Kaliyev, Bjornfot, Phillips, Luff, Fagemo, Strand, Brickley, Thomas, Dudas, Sodergran, Kupari.
Will any of them make it? Anderson-Dolan, Grundstrom, and Wagner are all a probably. Can some of these other guys really impress?

Pronman said:Here I re-introduce tools grades on the 20-80 scale that were not present in the farm rankings, grading skating, puck skills, physicality and hockey sense for every player. I only grade the shot if it is notably good or poor. In this scale, 50 projects as pro average, 55 as above-average, 60 top third, 70 as elite and 80 as among the very best; 45 is below-average and 40 is fringe pro quality.
Rank | Name | Skating | Puck Skills | Physical Game | Hockey Sense | Shot Grade |

19 | Arthur Kaliyev | 50 | 55 | 50 | 65 | 60 |
42 | Rasmus Kupari | 60 | 60 | 55 | 55 | |

New Pronman Article on the Athletic, Pronman: Top 124 NHL prospects entering the 2019-20 season.
(This one includes skaters only - he will do a separate goaltending one. )
With 31 NHL franchises, the average number of top prospects for teams should equal 4, and average distribution should place them one each in the following ranges: 1-31, 32-62, 63- 93, 94-124.
The Kings have 9 on his list, ranked as follows: (As usual, Pronman groups them by tiers)
Special NHL Prospect (1)
Special / Elite Bubble (2)
Elite NHL Prospect (3-7)
# 7 Alex TurcotteElite/High End Bubble (8-13)
High-End NHL Prospect (14-30)
# 19 Arthur KaliyevHigh-End Very Good Bubble (31-41)
Very Good NHL Prospect (42-87)
#42 Rasmus KupariVery Good / Legit Prospect (88-124)
# 96 Tobias Bjornfot
#105 Kale Clague
# 108 Samuel Fagemo
# 110 Akil Thomas
# 116 Jaret Anderson-Dolan
# 120 Mikey Anderson
So 2 prospects in the top 25%, 1 in the 26% - 50% quantile, none in the 51%-75% quantile, and 6 in the 76%-100% quantile.
Worth noting that Vilardi is not on this list, and would likely slot in between Turcotte and Kaliyev if healthy. Although Kaliyev is too high and Kupari too low, in my opinion.
"If" Vilardi where healthy he'd be between Kakko and Makar.. Although he hasn't played much, the times he has he's been the best player on the ice.
I'd give Vilardi 50 for skating, 60 for puck skills, 60 for physical game, 65 for hockey sense, 60 for shot.
An unhealthy Vilardi is also Jason Allison 2.0.Yep, a healthy Gabe Vilardi is Jason Allison 2.0. Let's hope we see that guy at some point. But I agree, if he's some fringe prospect, they're not handling him the way they are.
