At some point I'm going to have to learn...two of four seasons in at least one league I have thought I was super slick drafting winston super late......lol.
I took Winston and Brady late. That Brown signing helped me in that league.

Need Fairbairne to get 12 points to win. Otherwise I lose with the 2nd highest points.

Lost Hill and Coleman on another league, along with starting Newton. Tough week there.

Really wishing I picked up Gio Bernard late now, kept passing on him for some reason, though my “big” money league is still looking healthy and doing well (even if I lose this week).

You're not worried about Cousins only throwing it 20-25ish times a game? Or do you think he gets back to 35ish? It's a pretty shallow league, so if Diggs finishes with 80-800-8, then he ends up not even worth owning. I'm just concerned their new run first offense is going to kill Diggs and Thielen and only 1 will be worth starting on a week to week basis.

Guys I could put a waiver in for:

Diggs
Engram - No TE spot, so he'd be 1 of 2 flexes
Malcolm Brown
Gallup
McLaurin
DeSean Jackson

Diggs for sure.

When he’s off the injury report, he’s a WR1-2. He was on the injury report this week.

He’s going to get his ~8 targets a game and he’s going to get lots of work in the red zone. It’s him and Theilen in the passing game.

I’m not worried about Diggs at all, and to be able to get a 3rd-4th rounder off the waiver wire in week 1 seems insane.

It's a very shallow league in terms of offense. We play 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 flexes, with a 4 man bench. We also start 3 IDP's, so while offensive players is shallow, you still start those 4+QB, and then 5 with team defense, kicker, and IDP.

If Diggs repeats 2017, he's borderline even owning.

I would.

Also remember, even though the Vikings will pass less, 10 passes is never going to happen again. Diggs is an elite route runner and should be owned regardless of format.

Also, your leagues rules are stupid haha.
Oh, I agree, it's a very top heavy league and it's difficult to hang onto struggling players. The only other reason I would pick up one of the other guys, like one of the rookie receivers is I could keep them as a 12th rounder next season, otherwise I have Kittle in the 10th.

Picking up Diggs and Montgomery for Jones is probably what I'll do. There is a lot of roster turnover throughout the year, so if the Vikings passing game does tank his value, it's not the end of the world.

Seemed like a rough week for kickers. The only heavily started kickers that scored more than 5 points were (% started according to Yahoo):

Butker - 13 (99%)
Zuerlein - 12 (100%)
Gostkowski - 12 (99%)
Tucker - 10 (100%)
Gould - 9 (73%)
Prater - 9 (42%)

Maher (63%) and Elliott (58%) are the next notable names at 5 points.

It's nearly impossible to predict kickers. You try to get kickers on good offenses and then just hope they don't get touchdowns and settle for field goals.

I haven't done it yet, but I'm in favor of leagues that just don't use a kicker.

Kickers in football and PIM in hockey are my biggest annoyances in fantasy sports. Take kickers out and add IDP's. I know IDP's are for more dedicated players, but it's much more entertaining when you pretty much have players constantly accruing points.

Are any Watkins owners trying to sell high given his injury history? I was thinking of offering him for someone like Chris Godwin.

Just got a trade offer in my keeper league. I would acquire Mike Evans and a 6th round pick for Stefon Diggs, Dede Westbrook and a 3rd round pick.

I would then be keeping Mahomes, Zeke and Evans going forward.

Pull the trigger? No brainer, yes? I could care less about the pick. Draft schmaft.

For me it would depend on the roster and Hill's status. If Hill misses time, then Watkins will be a legitimate WR1 IMO, and that means a huge upgrade to gain early wins in the season. If Hill doesn't miss much, then I'd definitely to cash in as Watkins will drop from potentially #1 to #3 in target share.

If Hill misses 4+ weeks, then I hold and just try to pick up as many wins with Watkins as possible. He was probably your #3, 4, or 5 WR drafted, and he'll produce WR2 or better numbers with Hill out.

I'd lean yes, what are your other WR? I think it's a pretty balanced deal to be honest. One guy gets depth without a huge downgrade to Diggs, the other gets the best player.

I would try to wait a few weeks. That offense will be insane for him with Hill down.

I’d have Robbie Anderson, Dante Pettis and Alshon Jeffrey. Looking to nab McLaurin off waivers.

Figure Minny emphasizes the run and Diggs always seems to be dinged up. Tampa is going to throw a ton this year and keeper value is higher with Evans.

I’m set at QB and RB going forward, just need a WR1 which Evans is.

Go for Evans then, Jeffrey is a good enough #2 if the other guys don't pan out.
