I'd say its more of the fact that this has been the most likely outcome for a good while now already and people are just accepting it. It won't be shocking.
Yeah for me it’s some of that mixed with Gorton winning trades big recently and Kreider once again not putting together a more consistent dominant season when I thought he likely would last year.

I wanted a rebuild 3 years ago so I have zero problem trading guys
I loved Jeffs moves so far. Like I said im not against trading Kreider but I hope they at least took everything into consideration first. If he is asking for a ton of money I understand but if he is willing to take less I feel he brings so much especially to a younger team who also have speed

I’d keep him long term at $6.5-7.5. I don’t think he’d ask for more than that in any case.

I think it's safe to assume that they've explored all avenues. He's an important player for the team so I doubt they made an uninformed decision.

Happy Kappo Kakko day my Ranger brothers. Big night for us maybe the biggest draft night since Brian Leetch was drafted back in 1986.

Funny, I remember that '86 draft and though I don't recall it on TV, when my buds and I found out we got Leetch at #9, we all felt we just got the steal of the draft. And what do you know...it ended up being the steal of the draft.

Tonight, we get the best player in the draft and just a hunch but a few decades from now, Kakko will be spoken in the same sentence as Leetch when it comes to be the greatest home grown Rangers ever. Can't wait to see him in a Ranger unie.
