Just sifting through hrs of shift by shifts and players i have seen this last year. Have to say some players have really caught my eye as excellent prospects. Wanted to share and get some feedback if you've seen them...cheers
2nd rounders
Michal Teply - RW - Liberec Czech Rep. Dynamic offensive player with massive upside. 6'3 frame and fast. I'm actually suprised this guy isn't in the 10-20 range right now. Bet someone takes him high. Would be a steal at 39-42.

Henry Thrun -
LD -USDP - Often plays the right side. Looks like a rock solid player. 2nd best defenseman on a loaded US team for me. Has a pro style game...Going to Harvard. Will be fun to watch with Rathbone.

Brett Leason RW - Prince Albert WHL -expecting a 2/3 line tweener. Has plenty of size and upside and can kill penalties and will battle. If he slips to the 39-42 range it would be a solid pick. Seen him a bunch live and really like him but after awhile could notice some of his limitations he likely has at the next levels.

Matthew Robertson - LD - Edmonton WHL - Has great range and upside. Has some gap issues , compete levels and offensive limitations that may see him drop to our 2nd range.

3rd to 5th rounders:
Justin Bergeron - LD - Rouyn Noranda QMJHL - This guy is a hidden gem. Needs to lengthen out his stride but his gap control IQ and hands are unreal. Very smart positionally and has a strong fast stick. Excellent edges and quick feet but needs to iron out tendency to get over aggressive at the defensive blueline or get flat footed. Really feel like this guy has some tremendous upside and may be a heavy draft riser especially if the Huskies continue to roll in the playoffs and he gets more exposure. If you get a chance watch him. Would be stoked to get him from what i've seen.

Simon Lundmark RD - Linkoping SHL - Another player who is being suprisingly overlooked. Has some nice two way abilities, nice gap control and IQ a excellent frame and is already holding his own in the SHL. Kind of reminds me of Markus Pettersson of the Pens but right handed. Lanky player with great potential.

Kiril Slepets RW - Loko Yaroslavl MHL - A older player (99) who was missed due to not being a top PP guy and Russia factor. Burner speed and extremely slippery with a tremndous work rate and can score. Was a human highlight reel at the U20's and had many scouts talking. Think Carl Hagelin.

Jack "john" Malone RW- Youngstown USHL - Great Hands and rapidly tearing up the USHL. Scored a hattrick in the all star game and is going to Cornell. Skating needs some work but he's a big body with top6 potential. Would be a Brackett special. They should have a good read on his skating.

HM:
Joe Carrol LW/RW - SS Marie OHL - Buried behind a deep group of stud forwards without any PP. Has excellent wheels and plenty of 3rd line potential or maybe even higher as a Zach Hymen type who can do the dirty work. Has some hands and will likely jump significantly with more opportunity. Definitely a long shot swing for the fences but the skating size and athleticism is intriguing. really caught my eye watching Hayton and Frost
Joe Carroll at eliteprospects.com
Reece Newkirk LW Portland WHL - Complete shift disturber who is slippery and does an excellent job getting under opponents skin. Wll have to fill out significantly and get faster to be effective at the next levels but has good hands and can make plays and tremendously competitive. Could be a good 3rd liner. Guy had the Giants rattled everytime he came to town and then hit the scoresheet. Always up to something....ala Tkachuk
