I think both groups are right and wrong.

There are a lot of people here who do have the archaic thinking where a guy should play his junior aged years and then come over and put in multiple years in the minors. That is just unrealistic with the CBA and with how much better and more prepared guys are at a younger age. But there is also no need to rush a guy like Kupari who is 19 years old to the NHL. I like the idea of letting him play most if not all of the season in Ontario because that eliminates the accumulation to North America aspect when he is ready to turn pro. If he blows up at camp or in the AHL and earns it that is a different story, but we don't need to have him play NHL games for the sake of playing NHL games. Same thing with Turcotte, I'd like to see two years at Wisconsin and then join the Kings for what is hopefully a playoff run in 2021 with no time in the minors. That is best move for the Kings and Turcotte, certainly better than riding busses as a 19 year old instead of getting better and stronger in college.

I think practicing in El Segundo will help some of the young kids who will be playing in Ontario this season. That's a tough commute though back and forth on the 10 Freeway, to the 605, to the 105.

Oh come on K17, who doesnt enjoy a 1-1.5 hours wait on the 605 near Downey when you try to merge to the death trap that is the 105 anytime past 11am!

The 105 was the end of the 605 Fwy as a useful southbound travel corridor. The 57 to the 91 sucks just as bad.

Was there a scrimmage Friday morning? If so, I haven't seen a report about it. Thanks!!!

I'd be fine forcing Carter and Toffoli into a third line shutdown role.

Wagner - Kopitar - Brown
Grundstrom - Anderson-Dolan - Kupari
Kempe - Carter - Toffoli
Clifford - Lewis - Iafallo

Why not?

This is quintessential hfboards. Put 3 rookies on your 2nd line, sit Kovalchuk, and put Carter and Toffoli on your 3rd line. I'm not even a kings fan, but boy, I'd be surprised if JAD and Kupari made this team let alone were 2/3rds of the Kings top 6. I think, barring injuries, if you're looking for new faces you'd have to look at Prokhorkin, or Kempe's older brother.

You’re right. It is quintessential HFBoards, where we make shit up as armchair GMs.

I’ve probably put together 20 different lineups based on absolutely nothing at all, but good stuff.

Quintessential HF boards is dredging up an out-of-context, moderately sarcastic post from more than a week ago in the middle of an obscure thread on a completely different team's forum to complain about it.

Could have easily made your point without turning yourself into a meme. Most people agree with you here but can do so without being swampy.
