Looking forward to seeing posts/reports from Development Camp. So far I've read that there are a few invitees;

Derek Mullahy, G, 6'1", 176 lbs., CL, 03/20/2001, Dexter School/USHS-Prep.

Jonathan Yantsis, RW, 6'2", 209 lbs., 04/28/1999, Kitchener Rangers/OHL, D+2 Overager.

Those two are interesting to me. Saw them last season. Both are pretty good players. If I recall, they are linemates.

Garreffa is a points machine and had a real strong 2018 playoffs when the Rangers came within one game of getting to the OHL Final versus Hamilton.

Yantsis broke out this year after having a pretty mediocre season the year before.

Constantinou was the 'best' defenseman of a bad bunch in Kingston last season. They were a terrible hockey club. He was acquired from Niagara. He was an astonishing -58! I hate putting any stock in that stat but, that is eye popping.

FREAKIN. AWESOME! I hope they let him on the plane. "code Jason, code Jason, have a code Jason attempting to board" (this is airport code for someone wearing a Jason, Friday the 13th mask)

Ruuttu, on Lukas Parik: Every tournament he played, I mean he’s 6’4, he’s very athletic. His technique is not on the same level as the Swedish kid that we were looking at, too, but Parik is a competitor, he’ll never give up and he works really hard. The great part about him is his English is very good and he’s open to any deals or anywhere we want him to be next year – he’s wide open to it. And he’s all excited, he’s got his mask on in Prague right now at the airport and is flying over.

Gonna try to make it out for a few sessions and will take copious notes if i do

This is the first time in a decade that I'm excited about prospect camp. Anyone who posts notes of what they see will be known as big sexy for from here on out.

Draft Class Adds Speed, Skill to LA Kings Future

God damn is Parik a monster in that photo  like Lindback.

That's a sweet graphic, has potential to be the most impactful draft in Kings history even though '08 would be hard to supersede.

Lukas Parik was rated at #3 in the Euro goalies.

The Bolts took the 2nd rated Euro goalie (The Swede) at 71 while The Wild took the 3rd rated North American goalie at 59.

So... he was technically next in line for The Kings at 87.

Unfortunately no Shafigullin again, but other than that, a lot of Europeans this year for once. Of course, many were in North America due to the draft, but still, nice to see.

Kaliyev turns 18 Wednesday....they are going to party at some level...just not hardcore, I would imagine. I am sure Monday is partly how to conduct yourself as a pro. lol To think of that shot he has at 17, it's freaking impressive. What will it be like in 3 years, when he's 6'3" 215 ? wow.

Of course.

08 - Doughty, Voynov
05 - Kopitar, Quick

I don't think anyone drafted will be better than Kopitar, Doughty, or Quick, though I'd love to be wrong, but I'd also like to think we could land 3-4 impact players instead of 2 just by sheer numbers. It's all potential though.

Day 1 on ice::: Team White does not get to practice, before playing Team Black....but Team Black gets to practice? LOL

I am thinking 'advantage Black'
LA Kings Development Camp Schedule

  • 9:15 a.m. - Team Black Practice at TSC
  • 10:45 a.m. - Team Black vs. Team White Scrimmage
  • 11:45 a.m. - Team White Practice at TSC

Almost gives me chills - in the last 24 hours; was the first time future CORE PLAYERS: Turcotte, Bjornfot, Fagemo, Kaliyev, Mikey Anderson, Kupari, Anderson-Dolan, Thomas, Phillips and Durzi
congregated and are forming a bond. There's a lot of talent right there and several LEADERS as well.

I also want to mention: Brickley, Strand, Dudas, Hults, Spence, Sodergran, Nousiainen, Lizotte, Doyle, Hrenak, Villalta, Kehler, Parik, and Ingham and in NO WAY am insulting them...some may become core players.
I am actually excited about several in this group. I wish I could attend this camp...
