Yeah, D1 is already sort of watchable. D2 is amateur hockey.massive difference between D1B and D2A in all aspects. I sometimes find it hard to believe they are connected.
What are the Estonian chances of a Lithuanian style upset this year? They do have some decent forwards. Pretty terrible goalies tho.

Interesting. Hard to believe they'd pass on either of those guys. I guess one of them had some reasons not to come. Or maybe they just knew beforehand Trinec is going to need game 7But they just have one spot open, they nominated 19 skaters, 20 are allowed.
Guess how many shots Dutch had after your post?Even though the game was tied 1-1 for a good bit there the shots after 2 periods are 7 -45 PolandKinda sorta as expected but still pretty impressive.
Hopefully some Belarussian member will answer this, but their roster looks scary bad. I kinda can see them messing up promotion as Kazakhstan has foreigners carrying them and Slovenia is Slovenia - they just find a way to compete. How come neither of the Kostitsyn brothers or Korobov for Belarus are going to show?
As far as I understand, they had like the most miserable locker room last year. No team spirit, lots of finger pointing and arguments and stuff. How come neither of the Kostitsyn brothers or Korobov for Belarus are going to show?
After you put it that way I guessed 0 and sure enough it checked out. I mean the Netherlands were just playing to get the puck out of their zone and change from the first minute. With only 15 skaters that are well lower quality no wonder they could barely skate in the 3rd..Guess how many shots Dutch had after your post?

I certainly believe this, but the Kostitsyn brothers weren't there last year, so there must be another reason for them.As far as I understand, they had like the most miserable locker room last year. No team spirit, lots of finger pointing and arguments and stuff.
So the exclusion of some players might very well be related to that.
Also I just realized when Tilburg's season is done they are only getting 3 players, not 5. They don't have a chance to survive with that..
I don't think it's fair to describe Belarus not promoting as 'messing up'.Hopefully some Belarussian member will answer this, but their roster looks scary bad. The mighty Belarus, king of hockey, should always be in the top division.I don't think it's fair to describe Belarus not promoting as 'messing up'.
Kazakhstan has a bunch of imports this year who weren't available in 2018. Dietz is ridiculous for this level. Bochenski, Boyd, St. Pierre, that's like 3 Kostitsyns. 16 KHL players total. They are the favorites in my opinion.
Belarus only has 11 + 1 AHL guy and a pretty demotivated team without a solid goalie. They are only a little better than Slovenia and Hungary without accounting for their locker room problems.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they actually got relegated with this squad. Don’t wanna even imagine Lukashenko in that situation, read some very scathing notes from him in their press. The mighty Belarus, king of hockey, should always be in the top division.
It's kind of hard to respect them after paying so many random foreigners to accept the Belarusian citizenship and suit up for their country. It's a bit of a joke really. Ditto for Kazakhstan. The mighty Belarus, king of hockey, should always be in the top division.
