Can’t see any sort of playoffs happening.
Can’t see any sort of playoffs happening.
He might not be able to sign an executive order and be able to do so unilaterally, but the state legislature would probably be able to make it happen.ya you beat me here buddy was just gonna post this one finally the governor speaks out
they had stake holder meetings by phone yesterday i expected him to talk but he didnt... he did say in this that he doesnt have the power to mandate shutting down say the nhl or other things like that
So this means they’re hitting the pause button right? Not stop and eject like in Europe. So still a chance we will see playoff hockey this season?
I can. The League is not going to forego that huge chunk of revenue by outright cancelling the season right now. They can postpone the season for 2 weeks, 3 weeks, take a queue from MLS and do a full 30 day. League offices will find a way to cram all this in even if it extends past the typical deadlines.
There are at least 10-20 different moving parts right now that preclude the NHL from just cutting it off and "See ya next season". I presented a case last week in another Forum could we be looking at summertime hockey. It was dismissed by a few posters. Now its being discussed as an option. As is everything else as an option.
So - All options are being explored. If you don't believe me, ask Elliotte Friedman. He just reiterated the "All options" option on Hockey Central as I type
So can you do me a favor and calm down?
Points percentage.I wonder if they'll come up with a system (getting to an equal number of games played) to just hold the playoffs, rather than finish the remaining 12-15 games of the season for each team.
I feel like they will have a conclusion to this season--I don't think it will just be lost. But what that looks like is anyone's guess right now. It seems like the entire system has spun out of control for the moment.
