Peterson and Vilardi pretty much won us this game. Great end of the season boys. Now that the season is over time for the draft lottery.

This is the big thing. Assuming this is the end of the season, watching this team mostly just dominate good teams and bad for 7 straight games is exactly what you want to see.

I'm gonna be pissed if the season ends here and we f***ed out draft positioning for no f***ing reason. What a way to piss away a terrible season for no gain. Typical kings

And I'm not mad about it at all, but it is definitely "typical Kings"

Bottom out all season, go full Brian Willsie, literally cancel the season during the longest win streak in yeaarrrrs, RIGHT AFTER we move Ottawa's two picks right above ours, lol. Only thing left to do is drop to...7?

All you can do is hope the hockey gods take mercy on a team and franchise actually trying.

Remind me again what the odd of the Hawks picking in the top 3 last year after just missing the playoffs?

The Devils jumped 2 spots, the Rangers jumped 4 spots and the Hawks jumped 9 spots. For shits and giggles, I ran Tankathon a good number of times and a great majority of the time, at least 2 of the top 3 spots were occupied by jumpers. Many times all 3 spots were taken by jumpers. The odds are in favor of the worst 3 teams actually dropping than actually winning a top 3 spot. There is one clear #1 overall and maybe Byfield a majority #2. All the rest of the top 8 or 9, all very good prospects. Could be razor thin differences depending on what you're looking for.

Well. Last year we all were pissed dropping from 2 to 5. Jack Hughes has 7 goals in 61 games. Fro has 6 in 17. Vilardi has 7 points in 10 games. The Kakko kid isn’t exactly lighting it up also. -23. With the likes of Fagemo, Turcotte, Kavilev, Kuparu, Thomas, Bjorfot, and others I think we will still do good with a top 5 pick. You never know. Of course, some of these guys won’t be ready next year. Some will be. What do you think the lineup looks like next year? Thanks for all you did Lewis but good luck in the future. Carter? Porky?

I hope that we don't finish exactly 1 or 2 points ahead of Ottawa and that their ball gets 1st overall...

really impressed with Gabe!..i don't care about slipping in the draft as long as gabe continues preforming this way.

Another thing to keep in mind: How bummed were we last season when we lost the lottery because it meant we wouldn’t get to draft Alex Turcotte?
seems lately the top 10 are a bit of a crapshoot

sometimes you get immediate NHL impact, sometimes you don't. all i know is odds are good that a top 10 and especially a top 5 are gonna be good NHL players

Turcotte was always the player whose potential excited me most after Hughes. The best part is we don't need for him to be the savior. Kopi and now Vilardi's presence alone takes pressure off him.

Turcotte - Kopitar - Brown top line next season?

I was at the draft party and it seemed like it was Turcotte the whole way. As soon as the pick was announced Jim Fox reported via video feed to us that for weeks Turcotte was the guy internally they were hoping would be there when he was talking to the FO. Maybe Foxy was full of crap and was pumping sunshine for all us fans in attendance, but Jim Fox doesn't strike me as the type. Dude is as genuine as they come. Now, I guess that could've changed to Byram on draft day or just prior, but if we're just speculating based on the video where the table confirms that Byram was just selected, that doesn't speak to me that they actually wanted Byram instead. It's confirmation that the pick before the Kings pick was in fact Byram. Either way, I'm glad Turcotte fell to the Kings.
