i'd like to think it's what i saw earlier in the season where he just initially broke them down to bare bones and had them playing "his" system to the T, there was another time earlier in the season where it seemed like they took a clear step forward and these last few have seemed like another step forward

maybe its just them getting more comfortable in the system and where they're allowed to loosen up but they definitely seem a bit more willing to be creative

Maybe moving Clifford and Marty gave the new guys a sense that its their time now... So far, they stepped it up

That’s a good point too. It must be hard as a veteran to unlearn a decade of specific systems. I wonder how much Stevens and certainly Desjardins were unable to implement their systems because of either too much ego or a lack of respect.

It’s important that the vets learn to play McLellan’s system, because being predictable and dependable is such a huge benefit to the rookies coming up now and in the future for this team. Letting them focus on what they need to do to be successful within the system is going to be crucial moving forward.
 
Trevor Lewis casually carrying the puck for two entire zones right into a Nick Holden check is the most 2020 Trevor Lewis thing possible.

Kinda crazy how strong Carrier is on his skates when he's able to line up an opponent huh?

Gotta love this org taking our best offensive prospect and making him play checker on the road vs. the best team in the division flanked by Lewis and Moore. So much self sabotage there it's borderline unbelievable.
 
So VGK has already had two 8-game winning streaks in their 3 seasons?? When is the last times the Kings had one of those? I feel like never.
