Didn’t watch. How did they play? Did any of our trade targets look good?

Made it entertaining at the end and pulled out the clutch loss, good stuff

lmao!

2 words...Al Murray. remember, he traded UP to get him.

I mean, the three picks before Trevor Lewis were Grabner, Riku Helenius, Ty Wishart....right after, Chris Stewart, Mark Mitera, David Fischer. Outside of Giroux, the mid to late first round of that draft was total horse shit

Plus, Lewis put up good points alongside Okposo, and he was touted as a John Madden.

Kinda silly to start criticizing a pick almost 14 years later, but keep on HFin.

Not even @kingsfan28 but I'm not sure why people always think every first rounder is a 70 point scorer or something. The end of the first round is where people are typically getting Kempes and Pearsons or "just nhl guy"s like Lewis.

The whole draft was terrible. A couple second round picks and Marchand in the third, and a bunch of trash. 27 players still in the NHL from that draft though. 34 from 07, 27 from 06, 27 from 05, 20 from 04, 23 from 03, 9 from 02. 44 from 08!

I’m starting to wonder if we extend Pro and/or does he even want to return to this team.. He isn’t getting top line minutes which would really help him show his skill..

Prokhorkin is wasted on line 4 with Clewlis and JAD etc. No one EVER gets him the puck...even in the prvious 3 weeks, Carter didn't make one pass in the O zone to him... Pro has to do it alone and pretty difficult, but he can make plays and create his own chances...and so what happens ONCE, this game and last? He gets a little PP time in Tampa and makes that great shot that Brown tips in for a goal...and gets ONE chance with Kopitar / Brown with 3 minutes to go and brings it in, Brown gets it, give back to Pro (the first good pass a King has made to Pro all January in the O zone) and he looks to be going around the net, power moves in front and almost scores, then Kopi buries it. So? Virtually the last 2 shifts Pro got to play away from Clewlis and other 4th liners, he's involved in 2 huge, key goals at end of the games....move him off of line 4, please. never put him there again. He will create more offense than anyone on the Kings, with possible exception of Kopitar...oh, and Pro saved a goal too. Nice.

Except for the first couple shifts of the game, Prohorkin played RW almost the entire game with C Amadio and LW Kempe. Wagner was moved to the 4th line after his poor penalty and stayed there the rest of the game.

To be fair. Forbort is trash and tarasenko was right after him. So it's not really comparable. Forbort is in the NHL because of his draft position

I was starting to think I was the only one that noticed :naughty:

There is always a portion of every fan base who piles blame on the role players first when things aren't going well.

The first round is generally supposed to be guys that will make the NHL. As we know, the NHL isn't all Connor McDavids. The top like 2-3 and in deeper years top-5 are expected to be "impact" players like a 70pt player.

And there were a lot of questions about Tarasenko and his future in the NHL or would he just play in the KHL. Had he been clear, he'd have gone top 5-10.
