Not going to win every game after being down two zip. Someone should tell the players that.

You are "defending" your team from another Vancouver fan on our board. We don't care about your farm system Keep that stuff on your board.

You are "allowed" nothing on our board except at our pleasure.

That individual said we are bad and terribly bad and I was justifying my point by telling him that isn’t true by any means because you look at the Canucks prospect pool compared to other teams and how loaded our core is that we currently have we are not bad by any means necessary.

And I am Allowed to post on this board and I read all of the other boards especially during game days . Calling the Canucks bad when we have one all 3 games this year against you and have scores 16 goals as a result shows you we aren’t bad , we are a very good hockey team that is winning games and is coming out of the rebuild and is now turning the corner .

Also i wanna let everyone know I have a great deal of respect for the Kings as I know Drew Doughty going back to my days when he played for the Guelph Storm and my sister interviewed him for a school project when he was in 12th grade , the kid is an absolute treat to watch and a phenomenal talent and I am so happy you guys won 2 Stanley Cups as a result

Drew's poor play really stood out.

he was on the ice for 3 against right? But i don't pin those on him. was not his best game by any means but I do not think his play was that bad. He was pretty crucial in LA's 2nd goal.

What stood out to me was the fact Toffoli should be no where near Kopitar. I would honestly rather see Amadio or Luff up there (would put Carter but his line has looked pretty good so I do not want to touch that) until Brown is back.

The Canucks have had the kings number this year true...congrats?

I don't think winning against the Kings will get the Canucks anything. Vancouver has some players i absolutely love (hughes, Pettersson , Markstrom, Horvat) but I do not see how this team as presently constructed will get over the hump of being a playoff bubble team to true contender. No cap space to bring in a key piece via UFA to do it, and what cap space they will have this summer I think has to go to Markstrom (Demko is a good prospect but I do not think he is ready to be a #1 on a playoff team).

I would rather have Kopitar feeding Frk the puck. That line neeeds a finisher

If you take the Canucks 3 wins against the Kings away, they have nearly identical records.

Not a whole lot of cause for the chest-thumping parade.

I just like the idea of forcing Kopitar out of his comfort zone altogether, especially now that his production has taken a dip.

TM was moving him around on the PP and I saw more slapshots out of Kopitar in one game a few weeks ago than in the rest of his career combined. And not from the halfwall, from the center of the ice.

I love the chemistry/bromance Brown and Kopitar have and it's still effective but they're almost playing bubble hockey at times and throwing Porkins out there--a guy with skill but ALSO hard nosed enought to go to the net, and not a rookie but an experienced player--with Kopitar and someone else feels like it would pay off immensely.

I like the look of that line...how would the rest shake out?

Kmepe-Lazzotte- Wagner I would not want to touch
Yea the other lines would be tough to put together because you only have one center left in Amadio. Maybe they can start flipping guys like toffoli, lewis, clifford and martinez and try to get a filler center in return along with picks. Or bring up a kid like JAD.

very very true and your right we don’t have much cap space but the good think is next season we will have plenty of NHL ready prospects up front ready to step in most notably Kole Lind and Jonah Gadjovich should be ready to contribute next season , on defenseman Oli Juolevi will be a very solid replacement for Tanev whom I don’t see coming back ,

mans over in Europe we have Nic Hoglander who is having a phenomenal season with 6 goals and 3 assists in 19 games in the SHL and of anyone remembers he scored that absolute stunner of a lacrosse like goal the other day in the World Juniors and his 2nd lacrosse goal of the season TBH.

and in NCAA we have Tyler Madden who is tearing apart that league with 13 goals and 24 points in 18 games who will most likely turn pro after this season

so in closing I fully expect the Canucks to go with there prospect depth to help fill the voids for next season now that we have depth that is closing in on an NHL jobs and the prospects are dictating they are ready for the NHL

and with Tanev , Shaller , Fantenberg, and Leivo coming off the books you use that money to resign Markstrom, Gaudette and Virtanen and the Canucks are ready to go .

I also love your young core incoming of Vilardi, Kupari, Turcotte etc. Also I really hope Kupari is ok and returns to the ice soon I really like him

Yeah, Hoglander is looking really good.

That individual that called the Canucks bad is a Canucks fan. You guys can have that argument on the Canucks board. That's what its for.

This board is for arguing about why the Kings are bad, which of our prospects are busts, and who we shouldn't have traded for in 2015. Any other discussions are off topic and should be removed by the moderators.

Drew's poor play really stood out.

While Kopitar is already a lock, Drew is in the Last Man group, so he hasn't even made the All-Star game yet.

Last Man In candidates:
Anaheim Ducks: Ryan Getzlaf
Arizona Coyotes: Clayton Keller
Calgary Flames: Johnny Gaudreau
Edmonton Oilers: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Los Angeles Kings: Drew Doughty
San Jose Sharks: Tomas Hertl
Vancouver Canucks: Quinn Hughes
Vegas Golden Knights: Max Pacioretty

I would actually vote for Pacioretty. He already has 40 points and has really gelled with Vegas. Is it wrong for me to hope Drew doesn't make it?

Surprised Perron is in the Last Man In Candidates group (Central) - he's had a monster season.

With the size of the fan base, it’ll probably be Hughes. You can make a case for him or Pacioretty.

Hughes would get my vote.
