I've never seen 51 shots with less than 5 of them having to be great saves. Not to take away anything from Markstrom.

Lack of high end skill throughout the lineup. I really, really, really want both Luff and Wagner to be good NHL players, but don't see it happening. Luff over stickhandles and it's not like he's MacKinnon...and
his best asset is his shot and he rarely gets one off. Wagner used to get 1 breakaway a game and it's more like every 8 games now. Has AHL level skills and hockey sense. I was really hoping JAD could have made it...and Grundstrom. No way in H E double hockey sticks is Luff or Wagner better than Grundstrom.

Iafallo is meh and while Carter and Toffoli are better than last year, they are not close to where they both were 3 years ago. Hoping Frolunda doesn't go far and Fagemo and Moverare come over
by late March...even if they only play in Ontario. Crazy to know that it's possible to see several of: Turcotte, Thomas, Fagemo, Moverare, Dudas all go pro by April. Outside chances of Kaliyev and
Hults signing as well. Throw in a top college free agent signing too, please! Get some skill in the system.

Trust me the Nucks are bad. HELLA bad. And the fans we were are and will always be obnoxious. Id add a winky smiley but then youd think i was kidding

Please explain to me how the Canucks are bad ? They have an incredible young core of Pettersson , Horvat , Boeser , Hughes , Virtanen and Gaudette and have a solid group of veterans in Miller, Pearson, Myers, Edler, Beagle , Tanev and Roussel plus that’s not all people really do forget how loaded there farm system is, or did I mention there goaltending tandem of Markstrom and Demko with a 20 year old Michael Dipietro in the AHL for Utica

Podkolzin, Hoglander, Madden, Juolevi, Woo, Lind , Dipietro , Mcdonough and Focht? Forget about it that’s a pretty solid minor lead system

They started there rebuild at the end of the 2017 and there rebuild is looking every bit as good as how the Toronto Maple Leafs rebuild that only lasted two years after they drafted Marner and Matthews and took off. Vancouver didn’t even have the lottery luck the Leafs did. They drafted Boeser 23rd overall . They drafted Pettersson 5th overall and is the raining rookie of the year , they drafted Quinn Hughes 7th overall and Brian Burke said tonight on HNIC he is going to win rookie of the year and has the upper edge on Makar because Makar has superstars to play with whereas Hughes doesn’t .

The Vancouver Canucks have had the King’s number all year , 16 goals in 3 games and found a way to win tonight as Markstrom absolutely stole the show and was just lights out.

The Canucks are now back in a playoff spot, have won 4 in a row and look every bit poised to battle the rest of the season and prove the doubters wrong and make the post season. And the JT Miller trade is looking every single bit like a steal. They got him for only a 1st and a 3rd round pick and still has 4 years left at only a 5.25 million AAV.

Jim Benning has done a spectacular job since Trevor Linden got fired as the head hockey guy and Judd Brackett has been phenomenal with his drafting and finding hidden gems in the later rounds .

This is a team that looks like it will be scary good in the next year or two with all the depth and young talent they have

Too many times this year the better goaltending performance has been at the other end of the ice.

Welp, all must be right in the world, we're getting Canucks fans smugly gloating on our board after a meaningless December game.

The Canucks power play converts twice as often as LA's this season. 26% to ~13%.

LA closer to the all-time worst mark of 9.35% by the 97-98 Lightning than they are to league average.

And that's ok. While it's not fully deterministic, Wagner was the 99th player taken in his draft, and Luff was never drafted. Neither should be good NHL players. There's not a lot within 40 picks of Wagner, up or down, from the 2015 draft.

JAD just turned 20, and has 4 goals and 14 points in 32 AHL games. And there's something Grundstrom must not be doing. At least in the opinion of the head coach/GM. Even Frk is on the team now.

Canadian media is so sad.

Sure, they're far better than the Kings are, and Doughty is in no position to be running his mouth anymore, either on the scoreboard or personal play, but they don't get that the Canucks are a team in that general area?

Without their 3-0 record, and +9 goal differential(16-7) against the Kings, the Canucks aren't very good. 17-15-4 overall. They have 11 wins and 15 losses in regulation without those 3 Kings games. Take out the 3 losses to the Canucks, and the Kings have 11 regulation wins, and 18 losses. It's not that different. Wake up Vancouver. Not to mention, it's getting closer each time they beat the Kings. 8-2, to 5-3, to 3-2. That's a problem for them.
