C'mon folks lets not kid ourselves we are 100% in the running for a top 5 pick. Again. This team is horri-awful. A few W's here and there is not gonna change anything. Wishful thinking but as someone mentioned Lafreniere, Turcotte, Kaliyev on the same line for the next 10 years. One can only hope.

They're 11-9-3 since mid November. Not great, but definitely not "horri-awful". If they continue at this pace it will be unlikely they get a top 5 pick.

It's less actual optimism and more actually like...have you seen the Red Wings? We're bad, but that's next level Colorado's terrible season near historically bad. And there are more than a handful of teams in our boat, so while we're likely cruising for a top-10 pick, top-5 is maybe slipping away quickly with how awful the bottom tier of teams is. We look better on a night-to-night basis.
