Its done in every outdoor game. It is to make it fair for the teams. Skating 1 way all the time could be an advantage for 1 team and a disadvantage for another.

I'm arguing that what Comtois did, is done a dozen times a game. The difference here was how the contract was received. Just look at how Makar went in to get the puck just before the commercial break, compare it to how Lindgren went in. Mittelstadt has his gloves on Makar's back same a Comtois did.

Standard procedure for an outdoor game. Both teams get a period on one side, and the final period is split. OT is handled the same way.

That’s just wasted opportunities though, you can have all the odd man rushes in the world but if you aren’t getting shots on net what does it matter? You can’t score if you don’t shoot.
