I found it funny that the announcers claimed the conditions weren’t affecting play.
God that original game was so damn cold too.Yeah, I'm not a fan of these. I enjoyed the original one back in, what was it, 2008? In part because it was unique.
It's too forced now, and it feels like a cash grab. The quality of the game clearly suffers. The negatives outweigh the positives.
The "back checkers" were coasting down the ice within a stick length on either side of the puck carrier, not 20 feet back. It's pretty inexcusable that neither bothered to engage. Steel in particular, since he was on Lockwood's forehand side, and the side that Lockwood beat Mete to. If Steel engages, there is no one-on-one. There probably isn't even a shot on goal. He easily could have. He just didn't.Why, I've never seen back checkers get more blame then the guy defending in a 1 on 1. If he dropped it back to a trailing player and the back checkers were puck watching, sure. Otherwise, he should probably not bite so hard to a feint and let the guy walk a runs him.
Just my 2 cents.
Yeah that ship has sailed.I think his point is it shouldn’t even be outdoors
This has to be terrible to play in for the goalies.
You wouldn't know it by watching Hart. The guy looks like he's relaxing on a Hawaiian beachThis has to be terrible to play in for the goalies.
Lmfao this game actually counts??
Doug: "Where is LaFlamme?"Was really looking forward to the CAN/USA and CAN/FIN games, but this game is pretty poor due to the outdoor gimmick, and the Finland game was really tainted by atrocious officiating. Get your **** together IIHF, this tourney deserves better.
The announcers never said that at allWhat game are they watching? These players are having trouble making the most basic of plays.
