Hard to take those people that say Liljegren has looked awful seriously. Been paying close attention to #7 all night, 1 questionable short pinch all game that led to nothing (I thought he shouldn't have pinched because he was last man back- play ended up being nothing anyways). Besides that, he had a handful of nice rushes where he showed case his skating.

Dahlin has looked good, particularly because he's such a smooth skater at his height, but he had a pretty noticeably bad pinch that led to a ~2-3/ on 1 odd man rush the other way (pointed out by the broadcasters on the TSN feed). If that was Liljegren, this GDT would be in full meltdown. Besides the Zadina goal, it was the most dangerous rush all 2nd period.

I’m speaking more of the defensive end stuff from Liljegren. I haven’t liked his play. I’ve said why in a previous post.

I don’t have any horses on the Sweden team. I don’t care who looks like what.

Dahlin looks so ****ing smooth on the PP.

And boom PP goal, kind of a shame for the Czechs as they've been better 5 v 5.

There wasn't a single noticeable, glaring defensive miscue I've noticed from Liljegren all game. Or another D really, thought he put himself in a bad position on the penalty but it was a soft call that was a bit embellished/poor luck (could have been a footing issue with the Czech D- easy to catch in slow mo, looks incriminating in rela time).

He's engaged a few times on his man on the boards and has played zone solidly otherwise. Never lost his man or got out of position, was in decent position to provide puck support. Nothing that screams awful, poor, or great. He's been good exiting the zone when his team has won possession, just never happened really in the 2nd . Just not sure what your seeing that I'm missing here. Keep in mind, I've literally been watching him with a microscope the last 2 games specifically.
