Man that was an absolutely terrible goal call by the refs. Just brutal.
I don't know the IIHF rules. But it didn't look like a good goal.

If you think a man should lose his job for making one mistake should Valimaki be off the team?No the video ref should lose his job. He doesn't have the eyesight to figure it out from the obvious video evidence, he can't perform those duties. Too much at stake to let a blind man fly.
This isn't Canada being dominant, this is the Finns being disoriented and exposed to the small ice skating speed. There's no real storyline to be made from this match, other than this Finnish team can just go upwards from the hole they are in.
don't make bad turnovers and leave your fate in the refs hands maybe?
I remember him being fairly physical, but it's not even so much about hitting them. Our guys are too weak when Canada gets physical, guys like Rantanen and Hintz could keep up with the physicality.Hintz has newer been a physical player, but otherwise I agree. Team Finland should hit more, because there are guys capable of that kind of a play as well.
Some sm liiga referee said once the refs won't call and whistle these games by the book.I don't know the IIHF rules. But it didn't look like a good goal.
That's how I saw it, but it wasn't ruled that way obviously. Team has to move on from it though. Plenty of hockey left.I don't understand the first goal. A representative of the officials should really come in and clarify. That shouldn't have been a goal, no matter how you spin it. Either it's the net getting dislodged or the goal scorer pushing Luukkonen back which ultimately led the puck across the goal line. It's either goalie interference or the net being dislodged. I don't see how there's a third option for that scenario.
The Katchouk goal shouldn’t have counted, I’m still in confusion on how it did based on the rules of the IIHF. It wasn’t a good hockey goal.
If those idiots who are in charge in SM liiga they should start consider to bring smaller North American size rinks in SM liiga. In this game you clearly see what's the difference between Euro size rink and North American rink.
Finland clearly has serious problems to adjusting to North American ice.
And it clearly shows in this game.
They told in Finnish broadcast that video ref said the puck was in goal before goal moved. That's how I saw it, but it wasn't ruled that way obviously. Team has to move on from it though. Plenty of hockey left.
Which is score goals?
Now they're just giving him the puck and expecting him to do it all himself. He's a scorer, not a playmaker, he needs people to give him opportunities to score.
Swedish tv experts said KHL has low speed and that tolvanen cant handle the fast wjc hockey
You are correct. Small ice is only infinitely better in every facet of the game. Slow, non-talented players compared to NHL? Yes, make them play in a wider and longer rink so they can look even slower and not need to make any kind of fast decisions to evolve their game.If those idiots who are in charge in SM liiga they should start consider to bring smaller North American size rinks in SM liiga. In this game you clearly see what's the difference between Euro size rink and North American rink.

The way I understand it now is that the plastic pipes that keeps the posts in the ice hadn't completely moved. That would explain the whole thing. Now whether I agree with that call is a completely different thing.
