I swung by they don't seem any more unreasonable than us, they want Draisaitl for Parayko, I think it should be Parayko+, but it isn't that far off base. The mentions of Drai + 10th was more a commentary on how stupid they thought Chia was and you never know when he might do something as stupid as that.

If any of Bouchard, Dobson or Boquist are still around by the time we pick then I hope we keep the pick. Those 3 all have the potential to be exactly what we need.

Exactly and one of them will be there, my money is on Boqvist. Don’t think Dobson makes it that far though, Hughes has a better chance of falling IMO. With the expansion draft looming, the defencemen we draft will need to be ready to step in and play a key role by the 19/20 season.

If the right deal is there, I’m not opposed to it but I don’t have faith in Chia.

There's always so much anticipation leading up to the draft regarding trades, but very little significant happens.
Nobody trades top-10 picks at the draft anymore. To move up, move down, or for players. The last one I can remember was Staal to the Canes for the 8 in 2012.

I'd be floored if we did anything else tomorrow than walk up to the podium when it's time for the 10th pick, and make the pick.

The only reason the Blues would move Parayko is if they are landing someone else - namely Karlsson, Hamilton or Carlson. He's one of three RHD on the Blues roster (Pieterangelo and Bortuzzo).

Let's say the Blues get Karlsson. Then I can see them being interested in moving Parayko for futures. Parayko isn't all that much more valuable than Klefbom. So for me, that's probably a trade that could work - but wouldn't be possible until after July 1.

I'm also going to reiterate that if Barrett Haydon, Boqvist and Smith are there at no.10 - I hope like hell the Oilers take Hayton. He's being characterized by a lot of people as a 2nd / 3rd line center, but in my view he's a no.1 -2 down the line. A true two way player in the mold of Bergeron (someone tell me he's a no.2 C), Toews, Getzlaf, etc.

That's a pretty freaking meh trade and wouldn't do it. Pulock had 32 points on one of the most offensively gifted teams but like the rest of his teammates...cant play a kick of defense.

my guess is eksucks is going over the fact ottawa heavily scouted the oilers in the lead up to the deadline--not understanding it was Hoffman the oilers were looking at but the sens want to much and main did they pay for trying to hold out for more from the oilers

Targets tomorrow should be: Boqvist, Parayko, Karlsson. If we don't land one of these players I will be disappointed.

Prepare to be disappointed because there's virtually no chance they get any of those players (I'd be shocked if they took Boqvist).

Karlsson doesn't want to play in Edmonton and unless the Oilers are parting with Draisaitl, how are they getting Parayko? I know you're comment was mostly tongue in cheek but I just felt like dashing your dreams.

If we are seriously thinking of adding a d-man on 4 to 6 a year--we need to move klefbom or find a team to take Sekera or Russel with no cap retention
