Tried draftwired: http://draftwired.com:8888/apps/dwNHL

Traded #4 Overall for #26, 28, 46, 90, 101 (three separate deals).
Would any real GM ever consider moving almost a sure thing at #4 for five picks (two late 1sts, a 2nd, and two thirds)

Guys, Imagine our center line in some years from now if we sign Tavares and can draft Dellandrea early second round or by moving up to grab him..
Tavares
Dellandrea\Poehling
Poehling\Dellandrea
DLR\Danault

Riley Sutter with a hardworking play to keep the puck in the zone, then overpowers the defender and snipes a goal on Patrick Dea for the game winner. Looked just like MaxPac of old. Would be a good pick with our 3rd or one of our 4ths

The thing with Smith is that he never dominates. Hes not that type of D at all. Hes been compared to Keith and its not for nothing, hes a cerebral player that will just move the team to a victory with consistency.
I would not expect him to be a dominant do it all himself player in the NHL but I though he'd have the upper hand on a lot of players at the u-18. At least a few points.

Who's got a top 50 list to show us?

Yeah Miller was very good today. By far the best of the D for the US. Wilde really hasn't shown me much... he seems uncomfortable with the puck. Cool name though.
Miller seems like one of those guys who projects really well down the line...growth potential seems very high.

@Mrb1p Just watch USA vs Russia; Wilde didn't do **** again, Miller and M.Samuelsson were better again today.
Never claimed Wilde was perfect, he has some really bad kinks in his game that makes you think "This guy has no brain", but then on other occasions, he plays shutdown and doesnt make much mistakes, then he goes out and forces a play that works and a goal is scored because of it, then he does it again and looks stupid as hell. That's Bode Wilde and a team that will work with him might get a franchise D, a team that doesn't will have Beaulieu, or a bust.

Lol draftwired is ridiculous

Obviously I don't agree with everything, but overall it seems like a pretty solid list to me. In my view Ruslan Iskhakov is either the next Gaudreau or busting, I think he will be the latter, it is not someone I would like to grab with one of our 2nd, I would grab M.Samuelsson or Noel in a heartbeat though. I do think we share similar perception on talent, our top12 is very similar, but I don't think we value physical tools the same.

Any time you gamble on a sub 5'10 player with talent, he's either gonna thrive or bust. But I'll gamble on that talent any time.

Samuelsson is just a huge no for me. I have not seen him do anything in any game that makes me want him. I feel like there's many more draft eligible defenseman who will go later, who have more offensive upside that if they don't reach, can still defend as good or better than Samuelsson.

i try draftwired too .. here come my habs draft

AWESOME!!! I love seeing lists like this. You obviously have some real biases and opinions!! Have you tried working for an NHL club? As long as you are prepared to deal with 10 other people with similarly strong (but different) opinions I'm sure you could find a job. Of course you will have to drink a lot of Tim Hortons...

I obviously don't know the players as much as you and many others, but it's a great list! Of course I disagree with a bunch of things, but that's ok!

The neat thing about it is that you left off a whole bunch of guys that will likely go in the top 40 or so.... which means that guys from your list will certainly be around for all of our 2nds! Good stuff!!
