A wealth of games watching Hayton score in a variety of ways while playing a complete game against good competition, regular season and playoffs.

And you?

Exactly. Offensively, he's one-way. He's a shooting threat and generates with good puck skills and a nose for the net but I don't see someone who sets the table for his wingers.

Hahahaha. Is this the new "tunnel vision" nonsense you're latching on to?

Yeah that must explain his steady rise in the rankings.

Tells me you haven't seen him nearly enough.

They probably asked Tkachuk at dinner if he sees himself as a potential center. And of course he said yes, doing it with karakter more so, and we are ****** ! Seriously I'm not that worry, but it seems very clear that Zadina is out of the picture, unless I missed something. Still think they won't pass on the chance to pick a good center with good IQ and vision, that would be hard to explain to that media after whining countless times that trades are hard, can't get a center etc...

Free Agency (this should be a walk-in clinic designed to assist Habs' fans suffering under Bergy and predecessors) is where he might lift rocks, and of course, trading.

Shudder-worthy, either way.

Can anyone help me out here? I've been looking for guys like Kotkaniemi who skyrocketed into the top 5 due to hype at the end of the year and were ranked 10-15 (+/-) mid season. Looking for guys who had lots of hype later in the year but busted? I found a few who ended up being very good picks and trying to measure this against other busts.

- Pettersson: Mid season rank was 11 and final rank was 7. Would he of been a stretch to take earlier? I think not

- Heiskanen: Mid season rank was 13 and final rank was 3. Bad pick? Good Pick? You tell me.

- PLD: Mid season rank was 8 and final rank was 5. Blue Jackets took him 3rd.

- Keller: Mid season rank was 15 and final rank was 8. Would he of been a bad pick at 3rd? I think not!

- Draisaitl ? Can't find info on him (mid vs final ranking)

There has to be a few picks who where ranked 10-15 range mid season, dropped in rankings at the end of the year due to hype, were taken in the top 5, but busted? Anybody remember any?

Huberdeau and Scheifele.

Scheifele started unranked, finished 12th and picked 7th. Close.

Rankings. Well guess that's it then. No point arguing further, specially when they've shown to be always accurate.

Veleno's shot sucks. But that can't be true since you know, he went up rankings.

If the Habs take Tkachuk then I have to trust Timmins. I still think the Finnish kid is getting picked.
I personally hope for Dobson. He is a cant miss player

I've modified this so much over the past month that there has to be like 10 duplicates and twenty players I've forgot in there. Went with a fun but useless EA style rating for each player. There it is. Hours of watching and arguing in one list. Big values for me are: improvement from one season to the next, skating ability relative to position (multi-directional mobility being key for Cs and Ds IMO), offensive skill, positional need (Habs), season over tournament numbers and performance, exposure (Canadian Junior and SHL/Allsvenskan being the ones I've watched the most), and some consideration for combine and interview news or rumours. Split into six tiers, but the last tier could reach until 40ish. Didn't spend as much time on HF as I did other sites this year, but the Draft Thread here has always been a good one.

Looking forward to the big day!

Still waiting for the "two-way street" breakdown of your Fab Four.

So far, crickets.

And to be clear I'm calling BS on Hayton as "one-way street" on O.

Initial post was about Farabee, as in player who's often ranked in the same range. You decided to shift goalposts to centers - which everyone knows is a weak class.

Explain how Hayton's more of a double-threat than Kravtsov, Farabee, Berggren. Go

What’s really the problem about having dinner with most of the top 10?

Seriously overbashing waste so most space on these forums.

Sometimes you talk to others to make sure your initial candidate is right up there.

Wouldn't they just smoke-screen with Zadina if the plan is to trade down? There's no way to really know for sure but I'm assuming he's the more coveted by teams between him and Tkachuk.
