Him or Dobson. Our centers would finally be set with him and our 1st rounder next year.

If we get a high ranked center next year, and Kotkaniemi (1 more year in Finland) this year, and we already have Poehling (1-2 years away), we could become competitive in 2 years ... if we suck this year.

We need to take sone D and C in the 2nd round, too.

Still not sure we take Kotkaniemi this year, unless we somehow get another 1st.

Kotkaniemi had dinner with the Habs

BUT RANKINGS

BUT SKILL LEVEL

Could very well be gauging if he's worth getting a second pick at the top end of the draft or whether or not it's worth trading down - not necessarily that he's a better overall prospect than those ranked ahead of him.

It's a bad omen for Timmins to be making golfing analogies at his combine interview...

Interesting to see they are using psych profiling as part of the process, they've brought that in at my work whenever they are looking to promote people into leadership positions to see if they can handle it or not

Are you saying Kotkaniemi isn't skilled? Uh.

Interesting, how does it work exactly?

Compared to the players ranked ahead of him - on this board and elsewhere? Not as skilled.

I can't see how he could be ranked, based on individual attributes, ahead of Zadina/Wahlstrom/Boqvist/Dobson. Sure, I'd happily take him in the top-10. At #3 though? You're own ranking isn't even in line with that.

no quick fix, Habs will look to pick the best player in the long run according to Timmins... strong feeling that we end up with Dobson at 3 and strong feeling Habs are going through a youthness process... so forget guys like OReilly or Statsny, I would be surprised to see the Habs going this way... next draft will be very important too...

I would put his skill level higher than Dobson's, I'm just completely okay with a team taking who they think is best at 3 even if he isn't ranked there on other rankings. That's all my point has ever been.
