So uh

What's a force plate

It's a plate that automatically measures things like vertical jump by measuring when the force was applied/released, and when it was registered again, and solving a little math problem with that information to get the vert. The more traditional method of measuring vertical jump is with the tree, but I feel like dudes can cheat that one a little more. Just my impression though, I don't actually know. However, the people running the combine managed to f*** up the height measurements for an entire session last year, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone could cheat the vertical jump measurement on their watch.

Or maybe we're not drafting 3rd ?
Or maybe Timmins is f***ing with everyone. He’s not gonna tip off on who they like or trade possibilities or selection preferences.

I’m sure they narrowed it down to 4 players with the first two being Svechnikov and Zadina.

Veleno 150 pounds

jeez

Always a tough call between seeing that as an opportunity to grow (especially where power on his shot is concerned) or it being an indication of a lack of commitment and limited frame.

Honestly, I'm shocked he can play at the level he does and along the boards and in traffic as well as he does if he weighs 150lbs. Seems weird. Get him in the gym regardless!

Some interesting stuff there.

Back - 6'3", 204lbs
Kupari - 6'1.5", 189lbs
Alexeyev - 6'3.75", 195.5lbs
Dahlin - 6'2.75", 185lbs
Veleno - 6'1.25", 151lbs... can't be accurate weight
Curtis Douglas is close to 6'9"... 6'8.5"

Kupari is surprisingly tall. He was listed at just over 5'11 on Liiga's website.
