Not every single Russian prospect is better off in Russia.it's better for him to stay in Russia and play in the spring tournaments.

Maybe Kravstov would rather play in North America, dude seems like he wants to come over reallt bad.Playing for the national team for a few weeks is better than playing on a basement dweller in the AHL.
It would be different if he was joining the Rangers

I think playing a few weeks in the AHL could help him adjust to the rink size, and he won’t be there too long.
So he now has points on 50% of Traktor's playoff goals?Already an assist after 1:14

E: Now 40%.
Two goals in a single period, a rare sight in Chelyabinsk.Yup.

I understand the national team tournaments and all that, but the difference in the salary and a PTO might not make that much of a difference. As soon as he signs his ELC, which will probably be for the maximum, and starts playing NHL games in the Fall, any money he may have lost in these next couple months becomes fairly insignificant. And, if I were him, and I thought playing 10 or more games here in the AHL would help me immediately transition to the NHL next year, I would think it's a worthwhile investment. But that's just me.He never said he wants to come over to NA, he said he wants to come over to play for the Rangers as soon as possible. He would have to take a massive pay cut to play under a PTO in Hartford. 80% less than what he makes now.
And he has a good chance of making the national team if he plays in the spring tournaments. He won't just be practicing in Russia.
* This is all meaningless if Traktor is not releasing him

Also, he will get the max signing bonus on his ELC, so he will get $92,500 as soon as he signs. Of course if Traktor doesn't release him, then it's all moot.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both staying and leaving immediately. I don't think it's as cut and dry as you portray it.He would still get that signing bonus if he signs in May.
He can make 50k in Russia, or 10k in Hartford. That's a lot of money to leave on the table for a teenager.
But the biggest reason for him to stay is the national team
