We need to bring back more single digits.

4-5-6-8 (soon)

If I had to guess, someone else might get to wear #5, but at some point that number will be retired. I don't agree with the notion, but I can see it being done.

Reminds me of the line by PBP guy Tim Kitzrow from NHL Hitz pro. It was something to the effect of "These jersey numbers are getting out of hand. Back in my day, nobody wore double digits. We had some guys wearing # 6 and 3/4ths, 4 and 1/2, but nothing higher than 9."

Interesting. I doubt it though. Two more full-on strong seasons and staying with NYR, yes. But the league changed and it didn’t quite happen. That said, I’d prefer he stayed over Staal. (Not hating on Staal).

Admittedly, the number thing took some getting used to, but I’m there now.

The first time I can really remember seeing it was as a trend was in the mid to late 90s. You started seeing numbers pop up like 87, 89, 91, 93, 94, 96, 97.

I feel like this is a continuation of that trend.

I feel like since Crosby a lot of people are just picking their birth year. I believe Mika and McDavid both have their birth year. But if that continues we'll be seeing a lot more small numbers.

At one point it was draft years, then it started shifting to birth years.

I will admit, there is a part of me that misses the days when your starting forwards were as simple as 9, 11, 33.

Half the oilers are wearing 90s

I feel like that started with Smyth and his draft year and then sort of carried over to other players over the years on that team.

This epidemic of Rangers rookies just taking whatever garbage numbers the team gives them needs to be addressed.

I hope he goes with 14. It's a great number that's currently not in use. But at the same time I'd be happy with 74 because we need someone else taking that number after Bouchard

74 is a perfect number for him imo. By the way, LUTCH USA never freaking works for me, and I've been wanting to order a traktor jersey for so long and the site is just garbage.

He sees you so often hes starting to think you work for the organization lol giving you the full on canned response

3 more Kravtsov games in the next 6 weeks:

Russia vs Denmark in Vancouver on 12/27
Dinamo Riga vs Traktor in Riga on 1/13
Slovan vs Traktor in Bratislava on 1/15

I hope to speak to him at least once to ask him some more questions and get some photos with him
