Like others have said the nightmare scenarios of the Isles winning at least one, if not two lottery spots, and the Oilers getting a lottery spot when they dropped one point behind us were averted. I liked being at 8. Let's hope a player or two that the Rangers like drop into our laps.
We're 9th though.

I clicked my heels three times, went to church and prayed, donated my hard earned money to a needy foundation, and helped an old lady cross the street.

And none of those good deeds were rewarded by the hockey gods.

Cause you forgot to sacrifice anything that can bring someone happiness.

But the issue is you laughing and mocking those upset that we didn’t get into the top 3, i’m sure Philly didn’t expect to get into the top 3 last year but they did. Should they have not been happy cause they made it there? Any team that doesn’t make the playoffs have a shot at #1-3 so yes be excited and look forward to it. Disappointment in this case doesn’t mean stupid, however your reaction does indicate ****.

I didn’t mock or laugh at anyone in that first post. I criticized, and it’s deserved.

Disappointment requires expectations that, in this case, shouldn’t have existed.

You can hope without expecting anything.

The amount of quality/elite players is X-1, where X is equal to the position where the Rangers first select in the first round.

Why exactly do we want a team in our division to get Dahlin over a team that is not in our division?
Buffalo Carolina and Montreal. Any way it's all eastern conference teams but I guess cut my nose to spite my face I can't deal with Montreal getting top 2

Two or more of the people you’re all considering part of the top 8 (I don’t even know who that would be) will be there for the #9 pick.

That’s a -31- guarantee.

People have a stupid habit of thinking that the draft is predictable every year in the few months leading up to the draft.

Personally, I think the Rangers have a shot to land a very good prospect at 9.

Sure l, I’d love to be higher, but picking 9 in this draft isn’t a bad spot at all.

I guess I don't understand how you invest so much time in something you think the outcomes are already decided on. Like, I get that adults use wrestling as basically a male driven soap. Is that what teh NHL is for you? That's cool if it is.

Is there not a single speck of doubt in your mind when it comes down to this stuff?

Look at the draft history post lockout.

The word that comes to my mind is convenient. Like Carolina for example, considering their current situation.

Pittsburgh? Really? Talk about luck I guess.

Question for you:

Why is the lottery done behind closed doors? What’s the reason for that?

Hughes or Dobson would be fine. Just go get two of Kravtsov, Kotkaniemi or Bokk with the later picks.

Of the above players We will be lucky to get Dobson which would be fine with me at this point unless gorton does some magic and trades up for a chance at a bokk or Kravtsov

No. I have no doubts.

As other posters have pointed out, they release the video of the lottery after the fact.

What is this "current situation" that Carolina is in that the NHL needs to desperately help them with? What, are they going to draft a goalie in the top-3?
