Ps since it's obviously not clear. I think odell is fun as hell and a little immature. I like him. I only said he does do a few things that are a little exceptionally out there and some posters are ignoring it. That's it. Those things + his talent draw a little extra attention he wouldn't otherwise have. I think specifically with him, the attention he gets? It's that more so than his color. That's all I've said.

I argue with my dad about Jamal Adam's and odell all the time. He has that racial bias you're implicitly accusing me of having. He's also a stick in the mud who hates any excessive behavior regardless of color. So he has two biases. I get that it's frustrating to encounter that ignorance. Make sure you are dealing with that b4 you slander someone though

Finally watching. Robby Anderson... hes a player I dislike. He sees the pick and stops completely. Your ass needs to be sprinting immediately after the cb. As Robby knows all too well. Hustling from behind a ball carrier leads to fumbles. But he just stops and stares. In peewee a wr would show more effort there.

Sam also has to aim that out of bounds where only Anderson can get it. The pressure was getting through. Live to fight another day kiddo, get that out of bounds. Also sam...that play action was a glorified flinch. Gotta put the ball on your rb's chest at least to TRY and fool the D. Speaking of D... the D is getting annihilated. Broken coverages galore.

Oh and look Robby. A pursuer knocked the ball out from behind. Funny how effort works.

Wow the colts wr's with FIVE crucial drops so far

Tomlinson trying to stay on his feet was one of the more unathletic things I've seen on a football field in a while lol.

Adam's assist on the pick was awesome and now plants his helmet right on the ball to cause a fumble. HE'S a player I love. Leonard busts up the line and avery communicates with him pre snap which led to him plugging up the running lane. Avery also busts through the line. Great, great play by avery doing all the little things

So that covered the first quart and a half.

Omg KEARSE barrels through his tackler to earn that extra 2 yards and a first. OLine is doing a great job protecting and sam is going through progressions on many plays. Hes a little too slow to throw on some plays. I suspect a better defense closes on a few of these completions and stops them.

TD to Pryor! It's another play tho where he locked onto Pryor from the snap and throws half a sec too late. A better db jumps that ball or gets in there to knock it down. Still, hes reading it right and getting the ball in there. Great looking plays by him

ANOTHER crucial colts drop and my man Avery!!!!! With the pick! Avery Williamson may be Mac's greatest move. I missed it initially. Claiborne Jams the ball out. Still if the colts wr runs toward the ball a little he makes the catch. It's amazing how frequently the pass catcher waits for the ball to arrive instead of going up to it and securing it.

Right as I say this Robby waits for it and it hits his fingertips in the end zone. If he takes a half step inside toward it, he makes that TD. It was good coverage too, not a BAD play by Robby, he puts forth the effort but misses this crucial little thing. It's amazing how many catches wr's across the league miss bc of this.

Carpenter locks onto beachums guy for some reason and costs darnold a chance to escape the pocket

D REALLY picked it up. But they're assisted by Luck flat out missing a wr 30 yards downfield as well as several major drops.

FanTASTIC coaching to end the half. They were on the ball, took the timeout with 18 left and clearly told their offense to get their asses to the line immediately after a completion down the middle so they can get a quick spike. For a coaching staff that usually ducks this shit up that was very nice to see

Speaking of coaching. They continue to commit to power running, not just zone and it continues to yield great results. That fake wr screen was a beauty. Gj by sam selling it

Darnold slides a bit late but the sole point of contact was his SKULL and there's no call. Bad enough the refs miss it live. The announcers see replays and still focus on the slide, missing the obvious hit to the head. I'm liking these announcers overall though. Not sure who is with gumble. It's a 3 man booth. One guy is a bit careful and understated but unlike Fisher hes confident and insightful and sounds like he's having fun. If it is Fisher then good for him, he doesnt sound bad today. Dont think it's him though

HOOOOLY SHIT. You NEVER see a dlineman absolutely DESTROY a blocker the way Leonard just flattened this left guard. He lifts him off his FEET and throws him back. Holy f*** man. It disrupts the timing and Lee makes a great play to pick the ball. Lee had made a few good tackles today too. No one is happier than him that the jets signed avery williamson. The jets will be replaying that play in film all week.

Kudos to the coaches for keying on the single safety look and how it leaves the slant open all day. Kearse has had a helluva day thanks to this and so has sam. His best game as a pro

Copeland De-cletes a colt on 3rd and 4 to jar it loose aaaaahahaha.

Oooh on 4th down Claiborne waits for the ball when he needs to be trying to get it. The wr almost makes a 1 handed play.

Colts lg pulls, hits the hole and stops...just stands there and watches Lee go make the tackle. Is that rookie Quentin Nelson? If so then he's got 2 pretty bad plays to his credit today

Adams blasts the pass catcher from behind to knock it loose. PERFECT timing

Great game. Wow. Colts prob win if their wr's hold the ball. 8 drops on big plays. Brutal.

Bruce arians was the commentator. Kudos bruce

Realized earlier while looking at players that the 2013 Wisconsin team had Melvin Gordon, James White and Corey Clement all at RB. Both White and Gordon had over 1,000 yard and 12 TDs.

That’s crazy. Team went 9-4.

I love seeing the RB depth some teams have at one time. Alabama had Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy on their roster at the same time. obviously 2 out of the 3 didn't pan out as expected, but still. Julio Jones had graduated before Cooper and Ridley showed up, but damn. LSU cranks out secondary and RBs just the same.

Yup. The 2014 Georgia team had Gurley, Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Chubb and Michel were freshman but took over when Gurley tore his ACL that season.

Hell, LSU had Beckham and Jarvis Landry at WR at the same time too.

2012 LSU team had Jeremy Hill, Alfred Blue and Spencer Ware. not even gonna mention OBJ and Landry. and that's just on offense  i could go on forever about this subject

EDIT: go back a year, it's even more ridiculous. 2011 LSU defense was awesome, 2010 even better because Patrick Peterson

**** that, man. He's out there fighting his hardest trying to get something going. The entire team is him and Barkley. It's unreal that these are the only two legitimately impactful players this team has on the offense. I don't blame him for anything at this point. Dude is the best QB on the team, somehow.
I feel the same.. i'm sick of these people getting on Beckham...

On another note, I wonder who these guys are

Report: QB change would not be unwelcomed by Giants players

Giants need to some someone to make something of the year. Unless gettleman wants to tank again

At the end of the day, it's all the same ****. People have biases. Two people can look at the same thing, and both use it to paint their narrative.

You don't like OBJ? You'll see these antics and call him selfish, or a diva, like the tweet says. You like OBJ? You'll see passion. A guy who cares about the team and wants to win.

At least wake up and realize what you're doing when you do it. Go Bulls.

I don't give a shit about either player doing it, frankly. I'm just sick of the complete double-standard.

Mark Sanchez got blasted for eating a hot dog on the sidelines before social media was even a thing and had to make a public apology for it. Do you have actual proof of a double standard?

Literally the above tweet. We see Brady, Rodgers, etc. throwing helmets, yelling at teammates and coaches, etc. all the time. Neither is accused of throwing temper tantrums. They are "fiery" or "showing leadership". This same thing has been talked about numerous times and it's painfully obvious that there is a clear double standard between "certain" athletes and "certain other" athletes.

If you don't see it simply with that, I'm not sure you ever would.

I know OBJ is your guy and you'd defend him even when he tries to deliberately injure someone, but you are making a false premise. I don't think anyone makes an issue about OBJ tossing a helmet (on the sideline) after a fumble or a key drop. Athletes are human and their emotions can get the better of them. This is not what OBJ is getting criticized for. Some players, typically receivers, seem to get upset when they aren't getting their targets. You don't want to see QBs publically call their teammates for mistakes (drops, missed blocks, etc) and you don't want to see receivers call out their QBs for bad passes. Sometimes it happens. But that's all part of the game. It's another thing to match the words with the action outside that environment.

The only thing I'll agree with you on is that we all see what we want to see. Most of us just want to watch football.

1) Actually, they do. As seen just this past week with the nonsensical focus on OBJ hitting the AC unit thing.
2) It most definitely is (at the bare minimum, it is a big part of it).
3) Funny, because when OBJ does it, it's a "tantrum" but when Brady and Rodgers do it (and both have), it's "leadership" or them being "fired up".

If you can't agree that there is a double-standard, I honestly think you need to check why you feel that's the case. We have ample evidence of each of the above guys doing similar things. Yet only the young, black player is called out for a "temper tantrum" or whatever other denigrating term you want to see used.

The double-standard is pretty clear. If you can't see it, I think that's more on you than anything else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How good is Sam Darnold? I have been following the Jets since 1981. If management and ownership can’t build a winning team around Darnold, from that great philosopher Ed Norton “a pox on them and all of their ancestors”. Seriously. They need to give him more help on the offensive line and better weapons.
