I think the real question is who gives the Sens the best chance to win the Stanley Cup and who gives the Sens the best chance to win the most number of Stanley Cups in their career?

If we compare Svechnikov vs Zadina vs Tkachuk, who is the biggest winner? When the games matter, when we are in the playoffs who brings the most to the table for the playoffs? Who will be the most valuable piece in the playoffs and who gives the Sens the best chance to win the Stanley Cup?

While that's true, I'm thinking that adding the player who is most likely to be the biggest help towards winning in the playoffs also satisfies the need for players that will help you make the playoffs in the first place. It's not like if you build your team with guys that all big playoff performers, you're going to suck in the regular season and miss ever year.

Anyways, I don't think it's really worth worrying about; who will help you the most can depend on who else you already have, and it's too early to forecast one guy as the best playoff performer 5 years from now, at least imo. We'll get a great player no matter where we land in the lottery.

I doubt it. I don't think any of them have received an invite yet.

Matthews playing in the WC in his draft year really was an exception to the rule - it's for the most part a tournament for adults, unless you're a star prospect from a middling hockey power.
