Anyone have info on Joey Keane? Over-age prospect, the little bit I've seen of him has really enticed me.

Draft eligible D Bode Wilde, who had previously committed to the University of Michigan, has de-committed. Apparently, there is a good chance that he is headed to Saginaw of the OHL.

Doubt he is available at 22 but he is a very solid prospect.

Zadina looks like a Pastrnak type player to me. Not a guy that's going to carry the puck up the ice but a guy that can really shoot and score close to the net. Still a solid player

Has no hockey sense whatsoever.

We should stay far far away. Wouldn't consider him until the 2nd.

Not that much (couple USNTDP games online + all his games at the U18s) but enough to know he's not a smart hockey player whatsoever.

Kid makes Ceci look like Stone in terms of decision-making.

This would seem to back-up your argument.

Tkachuk, Zadina, Kotkaniemi, Dobson, Bouchard or Walhstrom I think could all be good picks IMO.

I think Dorion likes Bouchard, and Boqvist to a lesser extent. Randy Lee likes Tkachuk. Mann likes Dobson.

They all really like Zadina, so I have to think he will be the pick if he's there if not it really depends on who has the final say (Dorion)

Guarantee we don't, and stay away.

He makes Ryan Murphy look good defensively. He got the lowest score Button has ever given out in that aspect at 1/5.

You add in the reported attitude problems and that's why I think the Sens stay away.

Just a discussion about the prospect himself though, how much of the defensive problems are a result of him being lazy and a prima donna, and how much is just him not having the defensive IQ? Because the former can be fixed (and there are reports out there that his attitude improved massively after this healthy scratching in the middle of the season - some kids just grow up later), but the latter can't.

Not shocked about that at all.

Dorion should listen to his head scout over his incompetent boob of an assistant.

If true that sounds like an excellent reason to move back a couple spots if Detroit is willing to part with a pick.

For the past 20 months.

Why would Randy Lee have any say whatsoever? He is a guy to help develop prospects (unfortunately), nothing to do with scouting. I don't think he'd have any say in that pick, especially with his ongoing embarrassment.

It would be fascinating to know who's pushed for which players in past drafts. We know Dorion pushed hard for Karlsson in 08.

I thought it was our Swedish Scout from Detroit that pushed for Karlsson?

Mann - Chabot/Chlapik/Batherson/Bowers. Everyone out of the Maritimes

Everybody pitches in when you have a barebones front office.
