Doughty better step up his game next season, or he is going to find himself outside the conversation when it comes to being the best defenseman in the world, if he isn't already. There are a number of younger talented defensemen around the NHL who appear to be hungrier than Doughty.

I dunno, ask Doughty and he’ll tell you he was the best D in the NHL this year!

Heiskanen would get more love if he was in the east. All the Dahlin talk overshadowed Miro's season, he will be just as good. Has the tools top be a top end defenseman in this league.

That's going to be a tight series. Dallas under Montgomery has bought into his system and they can shut down opponents. Bishop had a good year but, needs to stay healthy for them to have a shot.
 
Just heard that if the Islanders get by the Pens in Round 1, they will be playing home games during Round 2 in Brooklyn.

That is a shame. Great atmosphere on the Island.

To be honest, they played a bit more loose than they did in the regular season. I was surprised they did that versus the Pens.

Their defensive game can be quite tedious and stifling when it’s going and it isn’t the most beautiful thing to watch.

Interested to see how things shake out in this series. You don’t want to get into a scoring barrage with the Pens.

Was Muzzin not out there on the PK for Leafs?

The kid is a stud. Played a great game, put up 2 goals and ice water in his veins. Fun game to watch, lots of animosity. If Bishop can stay healthy, the Stars have a shot at winning a couple series.

Was nice, hopefully Boston grinds them down. Would be cool for Marner to score tons of goals this round but still have Boston win. Further screwing over the leafs financial situation :popcorn:

They deserved to lose. You've been here before, act like it. You don't go up 3-0 at home in game one and not put the nails in the coffin. THey were lazy and it showed.
Props to Torts for whatever he said after the 1st period, because The Jackets looked great after that. Savard esp. played a great game.
