Trading for Lucic was not taking a risk. Holding on to Mike Richards was not a risk. Re-signing Gaborik to a seeetheart retirement deal was not taking a risk. Signing a 35 year old Kovalchuk to a retirement contract was not a risk. This was poor management through and through. It’s amazing how incapable you are of just admitting the Kings have been poorly managed since 2014.

The Bruins won a championship, retooled correctly, and went right back to contention. The Kings won two championships, did not retool correctly, and just had their worst record in a decade.

Why is any of this controversial to you? You’re really criticizing me for wishing the Lombardi regime had properly retooled after 2014?

Because you’re experiencing premature evacuation. The Bruins got out of round one eight years after winning their cup. You have no idea what the Kings will be doing in three years.
