Marchand Bergeron Heinen
Mojo Krejci Pasta
Debrusk Coyle Cehlarik/(Nordy if Chelly is still hurt)
Wagner Kuraly /Acciari

Nordy 1st call in (great on the PK and fast, can play anywhere) better than Backes all year and cheaper
Backes 2nd call in, (may move him to think about going anywhere next year to play)

Not sure debrusk has the ability to produce without krejci, plus why move him when he is playing well. I think Coyle and mojo might work together. Cehlarik is a question mark. Didnt like his play on the goal vs St. Louis and not sure about him on his off wing (though mojo could play right). Got to think the 3rd RW spot is backes' to lose.

So looks like they want to see him on the 2nd line. Very curious which of Mojo or Heinen gets moved to the 3rd line when Pasta comes back. My money is on Mojo... but maybe he looks great with 46 and 74.

I could envision a very solid cycling & puck possession pair in Heinen and Coyle. Put Mojo up with Krejci and have them feed Debrusk, while placing Pasta back on the all world 1st line. 3 lines of scoring and a 4th who can wear down opponents.

Yes... I like Heinen's ability to cycle with those guys. I like Mojo's ability to help those guys carry the puck in instead of dump and chase with slow feet. Very curious!

Let them fight out the fourth line. I'd prefer them to try Nordstrom - Kuraly - Backes but the 4th line as is Kuraly Accari Wagner has shown pretty decent chemistry.

I'm also not completely opposed to trying this.

Marchand Bergeron Backes
Debrusk Krejci Pastrnak
Johansson Coyle Heinen

See if you can hide Backes with Marchand and Bergeron. At least we would finally get some secondary scoring

We need to get Coyle some help....

I am hoping this is a temporary thing and we move Heinen down when Pasta gets his hiking thumb back.

I feel bad for Coyle asking him to play on a new team and giving him two wings that are not either shooters.

Or skaters, or passers, or hitters.

Nordstrom and the 2019 version of Backes may just be the most vanilla pairing of wingers in NHL history.

that line of Nordstrom Coyle and Backes is basically a ZERO line due to nordstrom and backes

they will get reduced to 10 min or less a game.

Why mess with a good thing (last game vs Blues). That 3rd line was very good and almost scored on three occassions

Well, my biggest red flag here is that Nord is not a shoot first guy. Backes does not have the shot he used to and Coyle has been guilty of not shooting enough his entire pro career.
Makes me concerned, we need to have at least one legitimate shooter on that line for Coyle. Would not mind seeing a line of Heinen-Coyle-Kuhlman. That might be interesting when Pasta gets back.

I like the idea of a Mojo-Krejci-Pasta line. Feel like they could really move the puck well; And I like the idea of a DeBrusk-Coyle-Backes line. They could play a bit of a heavier game, with Coyle becoming the set up guy for JDB. Heinen has played ok with Marchy and Bergy, so for now I'm comfortable with that as the top unit.

I think this approach would be a good way to spread out the scoring.

Yes and while I think that line would be problematic against some swifter teams like Tampa on Thursday...SJ ain’t that.

Coyle finally gets his dream to play for his hometown team and Cassidy gives him Backes and Nordstrom as wingers, brutal, just brutal.

I mean in fairness, its only short term lol. If Pasta was healthy, I'm sure the lines would be a bit different.
