As long as Northeastern holds on, it looks like they will face Maine next weekend at home for the 1st round of the HE playoffs. They beat Maine in both games this year, both on the road. If they can win that series that might be enough to make the NCAA tournament at the end of the month. They currently sit 11th so you'd want to be a little higher to feel safer about making it. If they go on to win the HE they get an auto bit to the NCAA tournament.

Stapley out of the Denver line-up again due to injury.

Gorniak playing his first playoff game right now. Wisconsin up 2-1 against Penn State. No points for Gorniak, though.

They pulled Primeau from the game since it's just about over and it's Senior night, so they put in his backup to play the last 4 minutes as a token for him and his family. Primeau ends up with 32 save on 32 shots. Next up is the playoffs in one week.

That should give him about the same save percentage as last year I assume....He seems to have turned it up since the World Juniors.

he did well right after the wjc's vs Maine but then he struggled a bit over the next 2 weeks vs UMass (the 2nd best team in the NCAA) and Providence (former Hab draft pick Hawkey out goalied him) but he's been red hot of late going 8-1-1, giving up just 15 goals over those 10 games and only 2 of those games did he give up more then 2 goals (3 in both) so the other 8 games he's given up a jaw dropping 9 goals.

I don't think his save % will reach last year unless he's great in the playoffs as a .951 is f***ing amazing and very difficult to repeat. He went into the game tonight at .929 so he won't be too far off though.

Nice move from Poehling there, almost scored after beating a defender 1 on 1 cleanly...

OMG Poehling just destroyed a Duluth player after getting dirty crosschecked while down on the ice....

Gorniak's team wins game 1 game, just need 1 more to advance.

Also Koberstein's team lost game 1 in double OT.

just got done watching it, that hit reminded me a bit of the Kovalev hit on Tucker, no where near as great (one of my all time favorite hits) but you could clearly see him eyeing him up and then laying the boom on a 100% legal shoulder to shoulder. But he clearly saw that was the guy that was giving him those crosschecks while down on the ice. You could even see him look up at the guy after the crosschecks saying something to him.

Yep that was sweet to see... Overall, Poehling started the game sluggish but I thought he had a decent\good second half, if this kid can develop a shot, watch out...

Lol whats wrong with your memories guys..

Galchenyuk and Gallagher started their NHL careers at the same time...When the Lockout ended...
Galchenyuk scored in his 3rd game vs Florida, and Gallagher scored his first NHL goal on a sick 2 on 1 pass FROM galchenyuk vs jersey...its printed in my mind heh.

The "reason" for their nicknames wasnt timing...

The only thing you got right was Galchenyuk came directly from the OHL and Gallagher played 36 AHL games before they , again, both started their NHL careers at the same time on the same line...

Lol. Your wife/ girlfriend must love you. I bet you remember all special occassions, 1st date, 1st this or that etc.

I will go with recall on Gallagher and Chucky.

McShane with his 31st in a 3-2 win. I didn't watch the game as I'm watching the Impact. But he was named 2nd Star.

Teasdale scored his 40th in a 3-2 win.

Poehling with an assist so far. The game is tied 2-2.
