Good question! Galchenyuk & Gallagher? Before that... hmm Ribeiro & Choinard?

I wouldn’t include Galchenyuk since he was in the NHL right after the Habs drafted him, we never really followed him in the CHL as a Habs prospect. In fact, he didn’t even really play his draft year.

I’d say the last time was Price and Sergei Kostitsyn in 2006-07.

Good call. Sergie was awesome with the Knights.

Que?
Did you forget that was the half lockout year, where Galchenyuk played 33 Junior games before playing 48 NHL games? 61 pts in those 33 games btw... and "we" DEFINITELy followed him..

But it wasnt "galchenyuk n gallagher" as Gallagher was in the AHL at the time

Gallagher did debut in the NHL before Galchenyuk. That is why the former got the Galley monicker, and the later got Chucky.

Chucky came directly from juniors, and Galley didn’t spend long in the AHL.

Lol whats wrong with your memories guys..

Galchenyuk and Gallagher started their NHL careers at the same time...When the Lockout ended...
Galchenyuk scored in his 3rd game vs Florida, and Gallagher scored his first NHL goal on a sick 2 on 1 pass FROM galchenyuk vs jersey...its printed in my mind heh.

The "reason" for their nicknames wasnt timing...

The only thing you got right was Galchenyuk came directly from the OHL and Gallagher played 36 AHL games before they , again, both started their NHL careers at the same time on the same line...

While you're right, technically Galchenyuk started the first game of that season while Gallagher sat out. He played the second game of the season ifmy memory serves me.

Maybe it was training camp, but Gally got dibs on the name somehow.

Yeah, my memory for irrelevant facts is not 100% ... :-p

I think it was because Gallagher almost made the club the year prior as a 19 year old. He kept hitting posts, though.

Ylonen hits 25 pts in his 50th game, 13 goals which is a good sign as he had scored a goal in just 3 of his previous 18 games since returning from the WJC's.

Also tonight if you have CBS sports they are showing Poehling at 8 pm in what should be a very good game as it's the last 2 games of the regular season.

Tonight is the last game of the regular season for Primeau/Harris.

Gorniak makes his NCAA playoff debut tonight.
