I have a tough time figuring out the Carolina/Philadelphia/Columbus/New Jersey pack in the metro. All teams are on the bubble. Could make it/Could not make it.

I'm bullish on Florida (Barkov-Trocheck-Dadonov-Ekblad-Huberdeau, too much talent) and the Lou (like their moves for Bozak and RoR).

The Pacific was the only difficult one because you've got San Jose and Vegas but after that, Anaheim and LA could surprise and Calgary is good but are they good enough?

The rest of the divisions have pretty clearly demarcated lines between who is good, who is mediocre and who is bad.

How does Detroit improve by 20 points (10 wins) without Green and Zetterberg, and Kronwall on one leg?

Updating standings based on offseason and me just changing my mind:

Pacific:
1. Sharks
2. Flames (yes, I'm being bold and probably gonna regret it like I do every ****ing year).
3. Knights
4. Oilers
5. Kings
6. Coyotes
7. Ducks
8. Canucks

Central:
1. Jets
2. Preds
3. Blues (would have you higher, but goaltending is still an issue for me).
4. Stars
5. Blackhawks
6. Aves (and I just realized my spelling... oof)
7. Wild

Metro:

1. Penguins
2. Caps
3. Blue Jackets
4. Hurricanes
5. Devils
6. Flyers
7. Islanders (OOF how wrong was I about Lou being your saviour. Least I didn't explicitly mention Tavares like I was about to).
8. Rangers

Atlantic:
1. Lightning
2. Leafs (I know you ****ers want to be #1, but that defense needs to get better. And no, losing JVR and Bosak isn't not going to mean nothing either).
3. Panthers
4. Bruins
5. Sabres
6. Red Wings
7. Habs (don't know what I was thinking placing you guys at five... you guys are probably gonna suck next year)
8. Sens (yes, you guys are still last btw).

Bolded are the ones I f***ed up the most (so far). Overall, I didn't do bad. Was a bit too conservative in regards to movement in the standings, but I was right about the Devils and Flyers falling off, the King's struggles (though even I underestimated their decline), the Lightning over the Leafs. Also wish I was more bullish on my Flames, but its still early and Smith has been super mediocre.

Bit surprised in hindsight how many were high on the kings.

More surprising though was how many had a pacific team getting a wild card. Still lots of season to go though.

Really didn't understand it either. Their roster is old af and even with Kovalchuk, I had them out of the playoffs by a good chunk this year (I had Chicago and Edmonton fighting for the 2nd WC spot). Then again, the roaches in Anaheim should be falling apart right now, yet are somehow 2nd in the pacific. Sigh*

Nearing the end of March, and overall think I did alright. I got 7/8 western conference current playoff teams right, though there were some misses in the east (islanders and habs looking massive, should’ve stuck to my original prediction on those two), and I took the bait on the panthers as well. Toronto not improving is also a surprise, and I’m really glad I predicted the canes making it. Think my updated predictions look a lot better overall though.

Also, I’m laughing at those who had Calgary in the bottom third of the pacific with la and Anaheim in the top 3. Yikes

Eh. 10/12 divisional spots were right. Not too bad. Although I'm not sure what the f*** I was thinking putting Winnipeg in a Wildcard before the Stars.

Large amount of isles being 8th in their division predictions. Not saying that is was a bad guess, but still, interesting.

Most predictions that had the islanders last or close to last came after JT left, so it is understandable. Nice to see them prove everyone wrong.

Most people had LA too high and Calgary too low.

LOL at all those who had Toronto finishing ahead of TB
