So pitiful to have that core and not be able to figure out how to build around it. If not for the Gretzky years, I'd feel bad for Edmonton fans.

Edmonton is my second favourite team. I chose them because the Alberta Oilers of the WHA were the closest hockey team to where I lived.

I had previously chosen the Caps as my NHL team after abandoning the Habs. :naughty:

So, I feel a empathy for all the long suffering Oiler fans who have had to put up with incompetent management and a disastrous front office. The Cups from almost 30 years ago are a distant memory.

Anyway, I think Bruce would be perfect for Edmonton. An up tempo game on the excellent Edmonton ice. I really want to see McD pile up 140 points. :D

For me it was the Caps, Oilers, and old Jets. I was a kid during that time so it was pretty exciting hockey. Sad to see the dumpster fire they have right now. Sometimes folks have to accept good players don't equate to great management or coaches.

Was last season so bad Ovie having 49 and winning the cup??
If Ovie is worried about players padding stats like his chasers... their seasons are over and we have bigger things to worry about.
