Thatcher Demko had such an awesome idea for his new Canucks mask. The super cool skeleton version of Johnny Canuck is created by Thatcher and his father. I immediately fell in love in the cool figure, it would look so good on a mask. Thatch and I brainstormed how to build the design and we came up with a cool plan. The rough and raw sketchy style✍ worked perfect with the skating skeleton, or as we named him; Johnny Canuck Rockstar Thank you Thatch! not so fast - maybe use a bit of that "cradle of creative license" and fix his nose just a bit, ya think?

Dave ART is generational. He gives the goalies what they crave.

Also the Demko mask is not as bad as ya'll making it out to be. His pops helped him with it (Demko) so I think it's cute.

I'm pretty sure Varlamov's mask this year is his 17/18 mask with Dave's new lens flare shoved on it. It just looks like there's mould growing on his mask.

The DaveArt hate on here gets a bit silly, and there's obviously a reason goalies keep going back to him. They like what he does.

Even after saying all that, I'm still going to say the lens flare thing is really obnoxious. Every time he posts a mask they're all I can look at.

It honestly looks like a 1st grader drew, and coloured in, that skeleton.

meh, when I re-read it and realized it is a skull, I think it looks a bit better.

And actually, it does look like a student drew it, but maybe a high schooler while sitting in class. - it's not too fancy.

The texture of the image looks pretty good, which is high praise from me since I hate 98% of DA masks. It's not his usual formula that's for sure

Welcome to the Bolts logo, except an elementary student drew it.

Thank God Vasy has a decent mask despite how awful and bland the team logo/color/uni set is.

Price seeing red:

Why is there so much room between the ice and the bottom of those pads. I've never seen a pad riding so high you can actually see the laces on the goalie skate!

Its due to the shrinking equipment. He doesn't wear a strap through his skate, this allows the pad to ride higher on his leg, which in turn helps him seal the 5 hole better. Its become rather popular
