I actually watched this episode the other day and didn't notice the resemblance. To be fair though, the rest of the cast is very distracting, what with the female leads multiple costume changes and young David Hasslehoff showing up at the end.

Yes I am loving the new MST3K. I prefer Mike the most of the hosts I've seen. However, I like the side-bits more in this new re-boot. Best of all, they really cram these movies full of jokes. I have always loved MST3k, but my wife would usually fall asleep to them as the humor was a bit esoteric, lower frequency, and more obscure. Now they are pouncing on jokes at every moment. The jokes are really well written and cover super deep quick jokes (there's an amazing jab at Paul McCartney is dead b/c of the album cover of Abbey Road in episode 2 Cry Wilderness) as well as more simple, punny jokes. Netflix, you beautiful *******.
