Just look at last year. Forbort, LaDue, and gravel were rookies. Greene was hurt. McNabb was a project and had effectively only 2 seasons of games played going in. The kings tried to force a Muzzin/Martinez second pairing and we now know that for whatever reason you want to attribute that to, it doesn't work.

Despite all that, the kings still had the #6 defense in GA. The defense questions from last year are gone and we know not to pair Muzzin/Martinez together. Arguably the defense has improved with a couple depth signings. Quick returns.

I think the kings have a Jennings caliber defense. Add in presumably healthy bounce back years from Kopitar and Toffoli for 15 more goals and an improved defense, and I think we can be better than people expect. Maybe significantly better.

I agree with all of this. It could totally happen IMO, or it could go all bad. I'm a lot more optimistic than many on this board.

I think that 6th GA defense is misleading, just like MTL's Defensive (Numbers)with Price masking the Terrible Defense MTL has.

The Kings defense seemed really easy to score on, and they punished no one.

Opposing forwards easily set-up shop in front of the Kings net all season long.

I am eager to see Forbort play his second full season.

Well that's completely different than people who have free time on their hands.

People who misuse time they should be focus on other tasks with fidget spinners is very different than people who spend free time playing with it.

It's like saying guys shouldn't have a penis because some fools play with it when they should be focused on driving or working.

Not sure I agree with you there. If all you can think to do in your free time is sit drooling on yourself while you spin something between your fingers, you're a quarter step short of mental disability. It's the same zombie culture of people walking around with their faces buried in their phones, totally cutting themselves off from humanity and life experience.

Can't live without something to scroll/swipe/spin. It's not good.

Moderation with anything is key. Granted, I think fidget spinners are dumb, but people should be free to enjoy their free time as long as it's harmless to others.
