Enlighten me please on the negativity of Lias? Why hes not a superstar player so he's not good enough? We draft our superstar (hopefully) the next 3 years and guys like Lias and Filip will be core players, although I think Filip will be a star player. Lias can as well but I view him as a 50 point second line, defensive center.
 
Why the hate. Kid has a great attitude it seems. Hates losing to the point he threw away his silver medal on camera(which I loved) and plays a good two way game. If he turns into a 3/2 c who puts up 40-50 pts. and develops into a potential captain that is a real good first round pick. Him and ADA for a declining 6 million dollar Stepan I’d do it every time!

He can't be a captain. That's ridiculous. He'd throw some sick kid into the crowd when he loses a ceremonial faceoff.

I think you see Zibanejad Chytil Hayes Andersson down the middle next season. This is a young man’s league now no problem with 2 talented 19 year olds playing. And I think you see them both get games in at the nhl level this season. Soon as the deals go down. Rangers won’t care about burning years.
 
I see no reason why chytil will start in the A. He made the team this year as basically a 17 year old. He is dominating he AHL. Will prob finish the season with the big club. Very unlikely with how thin we are at center that he’ll be in the A next season.

We also should have Boo and hopefully Gorton brings another capable center (unlike DD who’d be no better than 13F). I’d bet at least one of Chytil or Andersson will be on a wing for a bit.
 
I think boo is your back up plan yes. I actually don’t think we sign a center. I think we will give chytil and Andersson every opp to play at the nhl level.

Contract slide, not being a necessity at center, and that he can develop in the AHL. I love Chytil but there's more to it than just what he can do on the ice. If he plays well enough to warrant it, we will burn a year off his ELC and he will play.
