I am really hoping Tippett falls to 11.
Very good Shot, I think the best in the draft.
I think they'll get a good player at 11. Excited for tomorrow.

Sure sounds like Dean Lombardi if you look at the track record. Funny how Yannetti admits to something I vehemently argued against many posters on here. "Disastrous results." That's a guy who's been with the organization for many years saying it.
This is the point of contention, though.
You argued that they could not identify skill, and focused more on character. That's different than deviating from the philosophy to fill a need.
Think Lias Andersson can be the steal of this draft, him or Necas would be great.
No reason to get upset unless you see another monumental error like passing on Tarasenko, or leaping for another Hickey.
Despite Giroux going after Bernier and Lewis, those selections I don't find to be as big of misses, simply because those two players were selected right about where they were expected to go.
What's more upsetting was reading Al Murray relay the info that he was prepared to select Milan Lucic in the 2nd round, until Dean Lombardi made him go with a defenseman. That defenseman? Joey Ryan! ****ing Dean and his hard on for defensemen.
Given what Blake has said, I trust that the current staff has a mandate to not pass on high end talent. I can't see them going with a project or someone with limited upside at 11.
Yes. There is a reason outside a few all scouting rankings have him top 10. McKenzie while back when polling GMs said at least one team even had him at #3. Is he my top choice at #11 no, but I wouldn't be remotely upset if we grabbed him. Contrary to most big man he wall polled as having a top 10 hockey IQ in this draft too. I don't believe he'll be the best player from this draft or a PPG guy. Still I think at worst he is a 3rd liner and realistically a solid 2nd liner with size. He skates very well yet alone for someone his size. People just see he is big and think that is all he is. Nothing wrong at all taking him at #11 if there and would be one of my top 5 choices. Easily take him over suggestions like Andersson who isn't bad, but not who I personally would go for at #11.I'm really not sold on Rasmussen.
Is he more than just a physical specimen playing against kids? Is he really top ten material?
I have payed little to no attention in this years prospects. Who are some likely candidates that we could pick?

Nico! I'm pretty jealous that NJ won the lottery and gets that kid, he's going to be really good. Good job NJ.
And Philly will get Patrick too, those are huge. God damn lottery
