Zboril got schooled on Erie's 3rd goal, tried to hit the Otter player with a hip check, but completely missed looked real bad.
Zboril looks brutal.
He just got left for dead on the Otters' 3rd goal (tried standing up the goal-scorer at the blueline but he missed) he also doesn't look either big or fast out there either.
Very concerning for me when I only get to see him a 5-6 times this year and he has been poor every time.
The only issue I have with this is that you didn't like Zboril to begin with, so it's not like he's starting on even ground with you.
Like I said, I will wait and see what happens once Zboril gets in a pro system with former D-men like Dean and Cassidy (would love to see the B's add a guy like Craig Ramsay to work with all the young D prospects).
At the time of the draft I did prefer Chabot a bit over Zboril, but I liked both of them and was happy when the Bruins select Zboril, but while Chabot as developp really well since then, Zboril is just about the same to me. I have to agree with Colt, Zboril is always bad when I see him, I still hope for something, but I have more confidence in Lauzon than Zboril right now.
Edit: Couldn't see the game live, will watch it in replay later tonight, but saw on the boxscore without the PP it was a 7-5 games (yes I know PP are part of the game), saw that because Chabot was at +1 and was saying to myself how in hell a guy playing half the game of a 7 goals lost could finish in the positive lol
I completely disagree with your generic Chabot has developed "really well" and Zboril is "just about the same" and "always bad when I see him". The kid put put up 41 pts in 50 games, and according to other posters who watch, has been very solid on D. So, you must be exceptionally unlucky in your viewing habits.

I thought the same but summer is coming and let's all get along
My CHL source disputes his assessment as well but it's a message board and here to have fun and talk hockey
Zboril has an edge to his game which I love and his skills are plus all over
It will really come down to two areas
1. On ice decision-making
2. Discipline/control
My view he's in a fantastic organization for learning how to play defense
Many of the key guys in his soon to be professional life are defenseman- Dean, Cassidy, Sweeney
Not a lock but I see a more probable than not he's a good NHL defenseman
I think it was Bourque who said it takes to be around 27 years old and hundreds of games before you really feel comfortable
I'm intrigued at this kid and looking forward to him at Camp
On the comment with how long it can take for a D man to get established in the league, the rushing of players onto rosters before that are ready has become common place on so many teams. It is a result of needing cost effective options in a cap world where significant amounts of money is invested in top tier palyers and little to no room for the so called proven veterans or role players as they demand greater amount of dollars. Do believe the strategy is short sighted and on balance does more harm than good for young players breaking into the league.
Preference is to have players like Zboril, Lauzon and others to spend significant time in the minors to learn the pro game. There are always exceptions to the rule and a few upper tier prospects, like McAvoy in the Bruins case, who are much better prepared for the pro game. Really hope the Bruins take the time to develop before deploy with prospects. Think it serves both the player and the organization much greater likely hood of success in the long term.

Chabot`s offensive game has developed into one that is sublime at the Junior level and I suspect he`ll put his pts up at the next level but if your watching his overall game, like most D-man prospects, he has a ways to go in his zone, he leans towards the neutral zone far too soon too often
Either way, Chabot will always get more ink, has a way sexier game than Zboril, I haven`t particularly liked either of their games in this tourney TBH. Watching Chabot play is entertaining, the guy has "it" when it comes to bringing a fan out of his seat but right now, he`s not using his teammates nearly enough and Zboril has been caught out of position on a few occasions himself but let`s also not ignore the fact that this Dog`s team is one that is deep and talented who, as a whole, have been disappointing so far, going to be an awfully quick Mem Cup for them by all appearances
